Convenient but Icky
I purchased one pack which came with 4 pods. I used the 1:2 ratio as I was only bleaching my mannequin head, but when the pod dissolves, it can sometimes be very difficult dissolving the entire microencapsulation film. A large portion of the film, after all of the powder came out, just stayed solid and became a goopy-gobbly gunk sitting in the solution. I was able to use 1 pod mixed with 2oz of developer for 1.5 quadrant of hair, from root to end.

Pods that suck
Worst idea ever . If I could give it zero on the scale I would .The whole bag came and the whole bag of pods was busted .

Stressed
I changed from V lights to Redken pods. BIG MISTAKE!!!! I have never been so stressed out about getting the desired lift that I needed. As much as its stated … No Heat…. I put my client under the dryer because I couldn’t get a good lift. Bringing the stress home with me is not good!! I’m going back to V Lights! Terrible!!

It’s ok.
I love Redken Flash Lift, but I’m not too impressed with the pods. The actual pod doesn’t dissolve well. Also, if I just need a small amount of extra lightener, the pod creates too much. I still need a normal tub of lightener to mix up a very small batch.

Flashlift with binder is great , however the pods never fully dissolve therefore you spend more time mixing!

Redken pods
The lightener itself is great but the pods don’t always dissolve fully.

flash lift pods
always end up with a booger in the bowl from the pod. It does break down easier if you put developer in the bowl first and on top and wait a minute, but I still end up with the booger.

Great Idea, Terrible Product
Should save time right? Wrong! Takes longer to mix and actually wastes time! Plus the outer film never fully dissolves and you end up with clumps.
