Blondage High Bright Pre-Treatment is a pre-shampoo and step #1 of a full haircare system that answers to blondes who lose lightness and brightness in the weeks between salon visits. What It Does

Blondage High Bright Pre-Treatment treats hair with chelating agents to prep and clarify before shampooing. Its Vitamin C composition is known for its brightening benefits in skincare and brightens hair that has dulled, darkened, or mattified due to dulling agents and pollution. This system is formulated with chelators for instant results and lightweight finish for a non-drying look & feel.

What Else You Need to Know

Using the entire High Bright system will provide a brighter blonde instantly. This pre-treatment or pre-shampoo is for blondes looking to brighten and lighten hair. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brighter blonde days ahead! I waited about 3 weeks after my salon appt to give this Redken Blondage Pre shampoo treatment a try. First application, applied to damp hair. Allow to sit for 10 minutes. Then apply Redken High Bright Blondage shampoo directly over pre treatment. Allow to sit 5 minutes while you later, rinse and follow up with Redken High Bright Blondage conditioner. Whoa.... I wasn’t expecting this to actually work, but my hair is brighter, softer, shinier! I used the three piece set multiple times to get a better idea of what products are doing what and how well. This product alone I feel like can be purchased on its own. Overall, the set together made my hair feeling salon professional (that’s why I gave it 4 stars). It really helped eliminate frizz or loose ends. In the end it made my hair extremely soft and flexible as well. In regards to brightening my hair, I did use this product multiple times to see a difference in outcome of my hair. I did not see a difference. I was expecting something in line with the purple shampoos I use, but it did fall short here. The shampoo doesn’t have purple and didn’t change my hair tone or make it lighter that I could notice. However, all in all - it made my hair feel and look great - just not brighter.

I just feel like sometimes when short on time that extra step of spraying the damp hair and leaving in for 10 min. Is kinda hard to fit into my routine. I do get it in it just makes it feel like a process. It does make my hair look great and keeps the gold copper out of blonde keeps my blonde looking great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Totally love it i really love the idea of having a PRE treatment before shampooing, the smell is AWESOME, you feel like you’re in a beauty salon, the only negative aspect i found was the spray type of applying it, i have too much hair and is very difficult to apply it all over my head, i feel like im wasting it using too much. ONE IMPORTANT THING i made a mistake the first time i used it: Don’t rinse it and immediately apply the shampoo after the 5 minutes of pre treatment. Overall, i think this is a GREAT product and really felt the difference in my blonde color

It’s hard to say how this does on its own since it is used first in a 3 step process (this product first and let it sit for 10 min, then the corresponding shampoo & then the corresponding conditioner). But I sprayed about 10 sprays all over my hair and it lathered through my hair really nicely. My hair was very light and bright blonde when I got out of the shower and blow dried my hair! Like not a single brassy blonde piece at all! My hair was the lightest and brightest blonde I had ever seen !!! If you have blonde hair I really recommend used along with the other two products!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from pre treatment The pre treatment process was easy. I sprayed my hair with my water bottle to dampen it. Then sprayed the treatment on my hair and rubbed from root to tip. Set a timer for ten minutes and waited. I was expecting dramatic change, but this is more of a subtle brightener. End result equalled my brown hair was more of a golden brown and my blond highlights were lighter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for In-between Salon Visits This product works best in conjunction with the shampoo and conditioner! I have only tried these products together and not separately so my review is based on the outcome I was able to achieve with this entire Redkin trio! Since this pre treatment does require some time to sit and process do this when you have some time and aren’t in a rush. I let it sit on my damp, unwashed hair while I also did a face mask, body scrub and shaved. By the time all that was done it was about 8 mins. I then washed my hair with the Redkin shampoo and conditioner as the directions on the bottle advised. After using the shampoo and conditioner without this pre treatment it’s definitely evident that the pre treatment plays a major role in the brightening process of this system. Overall after I dried and styled my hair, I looked just like it would if I were to go to the salon for a tone and glaze! It cut out brassy tones and gave my hair a nice healthy shine and overall brightness to my blonde. My hair felt healthy and soft as well after using this! This is great in between salon visits! The only reason for 4 starts instead of 5, is only because of the spray pump applicator. I wish there was a different method of application instead of the spray pump. I felt like I ended up using way too much of this product because it was very hard to evenly distribute throughout my entire head from roots to end. If the spray pump was more of a mister and sprayed a larger area of hair I think that may have helped as well. Other than that I very impressed and would definitely buy this again!

I have an ombre/biolage hair color and find alot of treatments do not cater to blond hair, turn my blond yellow and weigh my hair down. Redken blondage high bright treatment made my blond hair looks fresh out of the salon after one time of using. My hair is frizzy with no volume causing alot of treatments to weigh my hair down but Redken blondage treatment did not weigh my hair down. Instead my hair feels soft, smooth yet has volume at the roots and healthy and the blond looks brighter.

For a high end brand, this is adorable and gives great results. I spray it in my hand and apply it so I get a more even application. I have wavy, thin, shoulder-length icy blonde hair and it was perfect for me! Usually my hair gets oily with new products but it did not with this. It took me a couple applications to see the full brightness but I would buy again!!
