What It Is

Blondage High Bright Pre-Treatment is a pre-shampoo and step #1 of a full haircare system that answers to blondes who lose lightness and brightness in the weeks between salon visits. This pre-shampoo is step #1 of a full brightening regimen powered by Vitamin C and Redken's Brightening Care Complex, which keeps blondes light and brightens up hair instantly when using the entire Blondage High Bright regimen.

What It Does

Blondage High Bright Pre-Treatment treats hair with chelating agents to prep and clarify before shampooing. Its Vitamin C composition is known for its brightening benefits in skincare and brightens hair that has dulled, darkened, or mattified due to dulling agents and pollution. This system is formulated with chelators for instant results and lightweight finish for a non-drying look & feel.

What Else You Need to Know

Using the entire High Bright system will provide a brighter blonde instantly. This pre-treatment or pre-shampoo is for blondes looking to brighten and lighten hair. What is the difference between Redken's Blondage Core and Blondage High Bright? The Blondage Core is formulated with violet-pigmented toning technology for high level blondes looking to take out brass and neutralize orange or yellow tones. Blondage High Bright is formulated by Vitamin C + Brightening Care Complex, which lifts brightness of blondes or highlights. I wish the application were a little easier, maneuvering a spray bottle in a hot shower is a little difficult but it works! I'll continue to use this.

My blonde highlights started to get a little brassy so I decided to use my Blondage High Bright samples I received. I put it in for 5 minutes which wasn’t long at all and it took out the brassy color and lightened my highlights. This product worked well. It’s fast and easy to use and smells good.

I don't feel like this product served any purpose in the three step lightening process. Time consuming with no results! I probably wouldn't purchase in the future.

I didn’t see any noticeable difference, and the step one spray is just inconvenient. Like I really see no benefit to the spray. I wont continue using it to be honest. I couldn’t recommend it to anyone who is looking for something to remove brassy tones. PS, don’t mind my messy bathroom and hair lol. I didn’t style it at all besides blow drying it so yeah.

The pre-treatment spray smells nice, but I haven’t seen any change in my hair’s brightness or quality of color. I use this about once a week with the shampoo and conditioner from the line. The directions are a little obnoxious- I try to spray it in the shower once my hair’s wet, then let it sit for a while until I shampoo. It’s not exactly convenient for my typical shower routine.

I will admit, the spray was not my favorite, upon first look I would assume this was meant to be sprayed into the hair after my shower but it goes in before. it sprayed out in a thin stream and didn't coat my hair very well.

I also wasn’t a huge fan of the spray applicator - if you have thick or long hair, it takes forever to spray enough product all over your hair

It really brightens you hair and makes your blonde flawless and after you wash and condition with these three steps your hair is soft bouncy and weightless no frizz. Salon quality hair everyday I’m almost out of shampoo and conditioner and will be buying more .

I definitely noticed improvement I'm the brightness overall, it smells great, and the system overall is worth the extra step! I wish I would have been more prepared for the results because a before/after should have been done!

The only downside is that you have to have on your damp hair for 10 minutes before you can wash your hair and that is usually my entire shower time. I feel that it helped enhance the results of the shampoo and conditioner.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Concept This pre-treatment is applied via pump sprayer onto damp hair and sits for 5-10 minutes, then is rinsed out. The pump is a bit tedious to deal with. I love the concept of this product, but I would much rather the pre-treatment be offered in a tub or tube. Perhaps with a thicker formula that could be easily applied with the hands. I feel that the pre-treatment did help prepare my hair for the shampoo and worked well in conjunction with it. After rinsing, my hair was left feeling somewhat moisturized, which was a bonus I was not expecting. The scent was also a nice surprise...a zesty citrus, slightly woody combo with a light hint of musk. Altogether, a fresh warm scent that was not overpowering.
