Rated 3 out of 5 by from Redken Acidic Color Gloss Heat Protectant Treatment First I noticed the smell which wasn't bad, but not quite as good as most of Redken's products. I loved the application of the spray bottle. I feel like it did give a little shine and heat protection when styling my hair. But the more I use it the better I can tell over time how well it truly protects my hair. But on the downside, it is very slippery if it gets onto the floor while spraying, so be careful!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Shine Spray I have wavey/ curly hair and this definitely made it shine. I only used this product and nothing else when I blew out my hair. It smells so fresh and clean which I love. It didn't weigh my hair down and made it easier to blow out. I would definitely use a serum and my leave in conditioner next time I use this. The next day my hair did kink back up some but not as much as it normally does.

But I have others in my backyard and product rotation that get the job done better and more effective. I do several blowouts that require high heat styling and while this does do what it's marketed to do, I seek products that offer more softening and higher shine payoff

You could see that the cuticle was smoothed down which Left hair shinier and smoother. Hair was definitely more manageable while blow drying. I did accidentally leave it in the first time I used it and found all the above to still be true. Was not greasy in my opinion which some people have commented. Smell was extremely pleasant . The best part for me is the trigger spray. After 40 years of hairdressing my hands are not as strong. Trigger is 💯 better than pump

Leaves hair moisturized, more manageable, less frizzy, and it's an awesome detangler while combating heat damage from styling tools. This used with the shampoo and conditioner is a great system. Can't wait to incorporate this more into my salon.

I like that the bottle has trigger sprayer making it easy and quick to evenly distribute throughout the hair. After shampooing my client's hair it was really tangled. I towel dried it and then sprayed the color gloss heat prot treatment to the hair & my brush easily glided through the hair. Her hair looked shiny and smooth after her blowout.

Feel like you really do need to use all 4 products to get the full effect of it. Smells good and does make the hair very soft and smooth when added shine.

The product has a pleasing scent and doesn't suffocate you when spraying it. I don't have that god awful burning smell when I flat iron my hair and it doesn't leave any type of residue on my flat iron or my hands. This has become my new staple for hair care.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Use! After I shampoo and condition with the Acidic Color Gloss line, I towel dried my hair and sprayed this heat protectant in. Of course, I first noticed the smell. It smells wonderful and already made my hair feel quite nice and soft. After blow drying my hair, it was smooth, shiny, and smelled great! Heat protectant is a great product, but the shine and smoothness I got with it is a huge bonus. I finally have a heat protectant I love!

As an unnatural redhead, I have to use a good heat protection to keep the color from fading out so quickly. I have a couple that I have in my rotation that are my favorites but this one might beat out the rest. What I like best about it is how it helps detangle the hair while providing the heat protection. Redken claims that it helps make the hair smoother and also provides extra hydration.
