Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pros and cons Pravana Pure Light has had a place in my Salon for quite a few years. Out of every Lightener (with built in toners) that I’ve tried, (Flash lift, Blonde Me, Blondor, etc) this pulls the most beautiful shades of blonde even when I’m using it on hair that has a ton of box dye. I still have to use a toner, (the 5 minute toners) but many times, surprisingly not. The consistency is smooth, not gritty and there is very little, if any, swelling if mixed correctly. The only CON that i have, is suddenly, after all of these years, I’m struggling with foil slippage in the back. When I use a thicker Lightener, I don’t slip. With this, I do. So not sure if it is me or if it mixes too thin. I am told by a Pravana that if I mix it thicker and not according to the directions, it can affect the Lift, etc.

The blue_violet pigment really packs a punch and gets the job done without the need of toning because it really helps to balance out the tone of the hair. Id recommend for those heavy lifting moments.

Perfect for clients who love to change their hair color frequently. It is also, much easier to work with because of it nice creamy consistency.
