Volume Maximizer is a lightweight volumizing spray for all hair types and textures that adds weightless, flexible volume to their hair style.

What It Does

What Else You Need to Know

• This volumizing spray is evenly distributed in a fine mist to give weightless, all-over body with a crunch free finish. It can be used to add volume to air dried or blow dried hair styles.

Spray onto damp hair and comb through. Air dry or blow dry style as usual.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent I tried this product on myself and a few clients with super fine hair. A little definitely does go a long way. If you overuse it can weigh down the hair. Finding that perfect amount takes a bit of experimenting. I didn't like the way it "sprays" out. It doesn't actually spray, it comes out in a small stream. It was easier to spray into my hands and distribute through the hair that way. It did give a decent amount of volume and the smell is nice and not too overpowering but I just expected more from a Redken product. I try to put myself in my clients shoes and ask myself would I pay retail for this product. I don't think I would. I have a couple of volumizers that work so much better.

The smell of the product wasn't my favorite - I just didn't feel like it was all too effective. It wasn't the worst thing I have tried but I wouldn't say I would recommend it to others.

After using the thickening spray and drying I definitely could have went without the powder. I however still added a little powder at my roots to help prolong the shampooing of my hair

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A little goes a long way This is pretty decent for volume, just be sure not to use too much because it does leave the hair feeling gritty and stiff. The spray nozzle is also not that effective as the consistency is so thick it just shoots out as an awkward stream. I ended up spraying in my hand and applying it to my clients roots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mixed Review Okay, I will start by saying I love this product! Not only did it give me added volume- but my blow dry magically lasted for DAYS without having to be retouched. It's light weight, the scent is not overbearing, and it didn't leave any film or residue on my hair. However this product is only going to help you maintain the added volume from your blow dry or heat styling, it will not do anything on air dried hair. Secondly, the sprayer is absolutely terrible! I resorted to spraying the product in my hands and massaging it into the hair at the scalp. You will also want to make sure to work the product into the hair by brushing/combing it through, or using your hands in order to prevent any sticky/crunchy spots. All in all the product does exactly want I want it to do, but the spray nozzle is absolutely terrible.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A little extra fullness I love Redken products so much, but this was a bit of a 'meh' for me. I have baby fine hair, but a ton of it, and usually the best volume I can expect is from ratting it to the high heavens, or some static electricity. This seemed to make it feel a tiny bit thicker and not so baby fine, but didnt give me a ton of volume or lift. It has a light serum texture that doesnt like to spray out of its component very well, which made it harder to work with. The scent wasn't what I expected from Redken either, which is a bummer because Redken has my favorite hair product scents. I will use this up because it isnt awful, but I won't be repurchasing.

This spray works wonders at volumizing the hair, the smell and texture was great... the only thing I did not like was the sprayer. The nozzle did not spray the product very well at all. I would definitely change that part but everything else is perfect!

My sprayer on my bottle didn't work so I had to kind of make due. I would pour a small amount into my hand and work it into my hair. It seemed to give some volume but it was really difficult to use.

This spray has hep my hair feel fuller and thicker plus it gives a more volume look. It DOES NOT leave your hair hair or dull, I recommend this product.

I was using another product for volume and since getting this product my clients are loving their hair more. Client's are dying to get their hands on this product because it makes their hair feel thicker and fuller. The texture is so much better and holds style better as well. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who has fine, thin hair. It's so easy to use too! Spray and style!

I myself have very fine thin hair and have used other Redken volume products in the past. This one is just okay in my opinion. I don't love the consistency and wish it was more of a light mist spray. It does give volume but you have to be careful not to use too much.
