Meet 2021 Inclusive Beauty Fund Grant Recipient

Owner/Stylist Tiny Textures

Regina’s vision for Tiny Textures started when she met a mother who’d adopted 2 children from Haiti. Their adoptive mother was in tears describing her struggle with styling their hair. She thought she’d use styling to bond with her adoptive daughters and instead this became a point of contention that greatly affected the girls’ confidence in their appearance.

Regina visited twice a month to style the girls’ hair and teach the adoptive parents how to care for their hair in between appointments. She realized how great the need is for such vital services that not only help parents who are adopting, but parents who are new to styling and caring for natural hair. In turn the children are confident in their hair and their individuality.
