In 2014, NYC-based esthetician and herbal medicine expert Victoria Leung founded a luxury beauty brand inspired by her sons, Elvis and Elvin. Soon after they were born, Victoria discovered that all of the widely available skincare products she tried to use on both her boys would irritate their sensitive skin. The products she developed, a combination of naturally-derived ingredients and cutting-edge skincare technology, were formulated to be effective, but still delicate enough for the most sensitive skin types. Leveraging her education in aromatherapy and herbal medicine, Victoria spent three years prior to the launch of her brand sourcing the best ingredients and manufacturers around the world in order to produce the formulas she had created. Of Chinese decent herself, Victoria draws extensively from Eastern culture and traditions, mixing those elements with nutrient-rich materials like mud from the Dead Sea, Moroccan Prickly Pear Oil and African Marula Oil. Rose, a star ingredient woven throughout many of the brand’s hero products, is included in a variety of forms such as rose extract, rose stem-cells, and actual rose petals. Thanks to its naturally astringent properties and captivating scent, rose is often used in modern skincare but its history as a beauty enhancer goes back centuries in China where women would use water steeped in the petals to keep their complexions healthy and hydrated. The elegant, modern packaging echoes elvis+elvin’s commitment to creating effective products for all skin types using only naturally-derived ingredients. Initially available through the brand’s dedicated shop-in-shops at Harvey Nichols locations in Hong Kong, and debuted soon after in the US.
