Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's just ok… I have a hard time figuring out where to place this product in my arsenal of hair sprays. It doesn't work well as a root spray, it's way too sticky and feels ick at the root. But as a medium hair spray it's not anything special. I tried it on one of my sets so I'll see how it holds up But I don't think it's a regular purchase for me. Plus I like something in a more neutral aesthetic packaging for my salon.

It reminded me of Big Sexy Hair Backcomb in a Bottle that I used in the early 2000s. I like this one better than that one because it is not as harshly sticky. It has great workable hold!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A new staple I'm all about texture. I have very fine, flat hair. This delivers. I even love it to make a messy bun or pony tail. I don't mind a little grit or texture in my hair but if you have a weird thing about textures I would maybe skip this one.

The smell ✅ the lift ✅ it's light for those finer hairs ✅ Easy to use a little or add more - which is what I like. When using on the shorter thicker hair - have the boost we needed - and left the client curious about the product. Blowdrying was smooth and didn't feel sticky! Def recommend for some extra lift

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice volume Redken sent me this free sample through the BzzAgent sampling program. I initially didn't like this product but that's because I used it without doing anything else to my hair. I think it works best if you tease your root just a tiny bit, then spray that section after. I found that it works better for me personally this way. It also lasts all day. When I used it on just flat hair, it made it feel dirty & just didn't give me the volume I wanted. After teasing a little, the spray made the volume bigger & lasted so much longer. I'd recommend it for people who have normal thickness of hair. Finer hair may be weighed down with this, but I'd say it's worth a try.

This is to be used on dry hair, not a root lifter on wet hair. The product is like a hairspray for your roots only. I did find it tacky for drying, but am still playing with it, as it's been only 4 days. I suggest to spray farther away and give it time to dry before manipulating the hair. The smell is nice, but left the hair slightly sticky. This was one of the 3 products sent to test.

I found the same hold as any Root tease or lifter product. But taking away the old style of these products. All the same great benefits and strength! But taking out the stickinesse and harder looking and even feeling of the hair! YES YES YES!!!

The sprayer is different, comes out in a horizonal line when held close but more disbursed further away. Excellent hold if you can get past the smell.
