Rated 3 out of 5 by from Root Volumizer I've used several root volumizing sprays. On my own hair and my clients. This particular one isn't one of my favorites. The smell was more earthy that I prefer. I didn't feel the hold was that strong which in turn didn't give me the root lift I was looking for. I did however like the how the spray came out into the hair. The nozzle was easy to use and released just the right amount without swelling too much. The can was easy to hold as it was thinner, which for me is important as my hands have become weak, so I struggle with thicker cans.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good lift, easy application The redken guts was easy to apply, and gave a fab blowout. The lift was incredibly easy to obtain. This works better on fine to medium hair, but still does well in thicker/coarse hair. I caution against using too much or in humidity, as I feel like it could get sticky/gummy if not used correctly. It's my go to I always reach for when needing to bump a blowout bigger!

Definitely can't wear it curly though as it is a bit much for my hair. Recommend for medium density and texture.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice volume Redken sent me this free sample through the BzzAgent sampling program. This product does just as it says, gives volume to limp hair. My hair usually falls flat but when I used this product it gave it just the right amount of volume. It sprays out nicely almost like a hairspray at first, but then it puffs up into a foam. It's not like your average volume mouse. You spray this directly onto your roots then massage it in. It didn't feel heavy at all, but I'd say a little product goes a long way. Also, don't wait too long to dry your hair after it's applied because it can dry like a normal mouse & leave the hair a bit crunchy. Overall it's great for days I do have time blowout my hair. And the smell is nice too.

I did not get as much volume as I have with other root lifters and the foam shoots out incredibly fast. I would still recommend this to my fine haired clients.

I do find that if you use too much, it will wear your hair down or make your hair appear oily. Other than that, I would definitely buy this product again.

The feel is a little sticky and the smells chemical/alchol. However it did create lift. I used on my clients and enjoyed the presise stream of foam. Again creating lift on all 3 clients. I'm thrilled that I get free products to try in exchange for a review.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Did its job, but didn't love. I have super fine hair and I'm always looking for ways to get more volume. Another product I tried, similar to this one, gave me volume at first, but left my hair feeling too soft and fell flat minutes after. I was hoping with this product it wouldn't be the same, but it kind of was. I honestly think it's due to the mousse like spray vs a dry texture product. On clean hair, it just ended up looking like I hadn't washed it after a while. I think this type of product would be better suited for someone with more texture or coarse hair vs fine. I don't think I would recommend this product, but overall it wasn't bad. Also has a cucumber melon-like refreshing scent that was really nice.

I used it on my straight limp hair and got amazing volume. Also used it on several clients who loved the results and I loved the way it worked on their hair. I tried it on a client who had heavy thick hair, and she got great lift and volume, after she got home she called me and told me she had to have it. Not at all sticky, hair feels amazing after using it.
