Frizz Dismiss is a collection of haircare products and treatments providing humidity protection and smoothing benefits for all hair types. The collection features Redken's Smoothing Complex infused with Babassu Oil to tame flyaways and decrease puffiness while increasing manageability and shine. The formulas feature a warm, beachy fragrance with notes of vanilla, jasmine, pear and citrus for an invigorating experience with every use.

Damp Hair: Apply on clean damp hair prior to air drying or heat styling to smooth hair and prevent frizz.

 

Dry Hair: Apply on dry hair prior to heat styling (flat iron/curling iron) for an extra smooth style or apply on dry hair as needed to instantly smooth hair and decrease puffiness.

But it was almost the exact opposite. It actually seemed to make my hair, all of it! Almost worst! But I also tried it on a few select clients of mine. Mainly the frizz treatment part of this was the only highlight.

Nearly every “serum” has now converted their formula to silicone free which generally makes them an oil and that’s too heavy for my hair. I’ve tried so many oils because it had been all I could find. This is in fact a light/medium consistency serum. My hair drinks it right up and it leaves a healthy, natural sheen and not greasy like hair oils do (even when I was being very light handed with oil) I love this!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Blowout I went 3 rounds with this serum and got that "wow" each time. I prep my hair for protective styling/braids which includes me "stretching" while blow drying. I experienced a soft residue free finish. I didn't have to use a lot of product either; using tons of product to protect from heat is usually my experience with other brands. I am truly pleased. Also, no burning smell. I have super thick coily hair that must be properly blow dried for favorable styling. The true test was going out in the South Florida humidity...we're good! So to wrap this up, my favorite about this Frizz Dismiss is that there is no flaky left over residue. I get a clean blow dry. The picture included was taken after I finished running errands and was headed to my braided. She even complemented and suggested I make the product a permanent part of my routine.

I also love using it before blow drying it really keeps my frizz down. It doesn't make your hair feel greasy at all!

I was concerned the oil would be greasy and weigh my hair down, however, this was not the case at all! There is a significant decrease in the humidity induced frizz and my aged hair feels light, moisturized and has a bit of shine. I will certainly purchase this once empty and I have recommended it to family. I apply this to damp hair after towel drying, comb through, and then either blow dry or scrunch. A little bit goes a long way.

I must say I'm actually impressed. Redken Frizz Dismiss Deflate Oil doesn't make my hair greasy which was my main concern. My hair gets super frizzy from humidity and this instantly tames my frizz. Not to mention it makes my hair look more sleek/shiny. I also use it on days that aren't as humid because I get major static. It works like a charm.
