Rated 5 out of 5 by blythe_baral from Great for damaged hair I have used this shampoo in the past both on myself and on clients. It’s a great option for damaged hair. However, clients do need to be advised to not over use a protein product for their hair. It can sometimes cause more hurt then help. It lathers very well and leaves the hair feeling clean. It’s not my favorite scent but if you need a shampoo to help with over processed hair this a good one to go for.

It takes only a small amount and it lathers very well. I normally shampoo my hair twice when washing my hair. After one wash, my hair was clean but washed it a second time. It has a light scent but nothing noticeable. I will be purchasing this brand in the past.

Using this shampoo made my hair feel very soft but not weighed down! My hair felt very clean and stayed that way for a few days.

Smells amazing. My hair always feels good after washing. Definitely worth the price. I also love the new size option of the bottles!

I did have a hard time lathering with it even though I double washed it. So I had to use more product to get it all over my hair. Which is why I like how they made this new half liter size. Not sure what the pricing is, but if it’s right I would prefer to buy it over the giant liter bottles. I followed up with the conditioner, and once my hair was dry it was really soft. BUT it kept tangling like crazy. My hair never does that. So I actually lost hair from the detangling process. Not sure if I notice less breakage but I’ll keep using it and maybe skip blow drying to see if that helps with the tangling problem. I’ll update if anything changes.

This shampoo leaves hair feeling clean and soft without being heavy. This is one of my all time favorite shampoos, but I do alternate with another shampoo often so my hair can feel rejuvenated when I do use it. The scent is light and clean.

This Extreme shampoo made my hair feel so soft. It also smells great. I will probably use it every other wash day to avoid a protein build up.

Sure, there are other great lines as well, but I’ve been using Redken color on clients (I just do on scalp bleach myself) so what a better pairing than to recommend the same line for take home care?! It’s very well priced for salon quality, and never lets me down. Been using this line for 15 years and excited to try this new version of extreme!
