What It Is

Extreme Play Safe is an all-in-one powerful solution for damaged hair. This leave-in conditioner and multi benefit treatment works to reduce damage, strengthen hair, prevent breakage, all while protecting from heat damage up to 450 degrees F.

What It Does

• Reduces the appearance of split ends by 70%.

• Protects hair from heat damage up to 450 degrees F.

• Prevents future damage from daily hot tool use.

• Infused with plant protein and tourmaline to strengthen and fortify the hair fiber.

What Else You Need to Know

Extreme products feature protein-infused formulas to restore hair strength and prevent breakage and split ends. Clients saw a 75% reduction in breakage with a system of Extreme Shampoo, Conditioner, and Anti-Snap.

Apply to clean, damp hair prior to blow drying or heat-styling. Leave in. Do not rinse. Style as usual.

I do feel like it could be a downside for people who don't like to feel product in their hair. For me the texture was great because cream heat protectants tend to make my hair too soft. I prefer a cream heat protectant over a spray because I like heat protectant in my hair when I blow dry and feel like sprays are better used after blow dry styling.

It doesn't weight the hair down (and I've used it in all textures), however it leaves the hair soft and manageable. It's quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Unlike other heat protecting protects this one leaves your hair feeling soft without the feeling of product in your hair. It adds shine and a silky smooth look to your hair while protecting it from damage. I used this on many clients and they also loved the smell, feeling, and look of their hair after and were surprised you couldn't feel it in their hair.

It adds the protein that distressed hair needs while also protecting it from heat damage! The smell is amazing and I feel like it is perfect for all hair types. I will definitely be buying this product again!!

Is slightly greasy while it's in wet hair and may require a little extra blow dry time, but once its dried into the hair it leaves it feeling very silky and soft. Would recommend to any client who uses heat on their hair to prevent damage.

The very first time I pumped it into my hand, I thought that it might be a little too thick and weigh my fine hair down. I used about half of a pump (I have fine hair that is a few inches below my shoulders) and worked it from my ends up to my roots. I combed it through and noticed that my comb glided through very easily, and I made a mental note to try it as a cutting lotion. When I finished blowing drying as usual, I was amazed at how not only did it *not* weigh my hair down, it didn't make my roots greasy at *all*. In fact, it gave me a little extra volume. Not anything to call home about, but some extra lift, which is always welcomed. I like this better than other heat stylers because it's lightweight, and it's nice to not have to spray each section of my hair before applying a heat tool. I've been using it for about a week and it's definitely doing its job protecting my ends from heat. I apply heat to my hair every day. I also used it as a cutting lotion (figure I'd kill two birds with one stone) and it worked beautifully. Usually cutting lotions are really heavy and this one was great. The added bonus of heat protection for the blowout was a big plus. I'd say this is a great multipurpose product, I'd highly recommend it and I'd definitely buy it again.

I feel like this does a great job of protecting the hair from heat damage. I do feel like this coats the hair in a bad way. It also adds a ton of time to my blow drying. It adds weight to the hair, so I wouldn't recommend this for fine hair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heat Protectant of My Dreams! i used this product once i got on literally all of my clients. this leave-in protector is super lightweight and you only need a pump, maybe pump and a half for all hair types. it leaves the hair shinier than most heat protectors and incredibly soft. i wasn't aware of this product before but now that i've used it i would definitely recommend it to everyone and will keep this in my backbar to use! 10/10

Redeem has always been my favorite to go line for anything and this product does not disappoint! I have used it daily since I got it in the mail. I apply to freshly shampooed and conditioned hair. I have balayage which has caused some dryness and this heat protectant makes it soooo easy to comb through my wet hair. My hair comes out much softer and smoother and the ends look great! Not dry or damaged. I will most definitely be recommending this to everyone I come across. Again Redken has produced another superior product for our Industry! Thank you!
