Extreme Play Safe is an all-in-one powerful solution for damaged hair. This leave-in conditioner and multi benefit treatment works to reduce damage, strengthen hair, prevent breakage, all while protecting from heat damage up to 450 degrees F.

What It Does

What Else You Need to Know

Extreme products feature protein-infused formulas to restore hair strength and prevent breakage and split ends. Clients saw a 75% reduction in breakage with a system of Extreme Shampoo, Conditioner, and Anti-Snap.

The consistency is creamy and thick so you can ensure saturation throughout the hair. Yet is light and doesn't weight down the hair and look greasy. My clients are raving about the way their hair feels after and the longevity of their style for days. I would highly recommend stylist's trying this product and encouraging their clients to use it at home. I promise they won't be disappointed

I work with a lot of heat tools AND I'm a blonde so it's always super important to have a heat protectant that works at high temperatures! This product protects up to 450 degrees which is much higher than some brands protect! After blow drying, my hair felt sooo silky and my ends were sealed perfectly. I would totally recommend this product!

The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 is because it has the tendency to make finer hair look and feel greasy. Even if you use a small amount.

I wouldn't recommend this product for people with fine hair since it is heavy. Love that it protects the hair from blow dryer heat... I did have to still use a spray protectant before flat ironing because the cream was lacking in that slickness that a spray adds to your hair to help the iron slide smoothly. Would definitely recommend this to people who blow dry their hair frequently.

I was unsure if I would like it at first because most heat protection creams leave my hair feeling heavy and sticky. However the Redken extreme play safe is perfect I only use 1 to 2 pumps and apply it to damp hair. I use it on my 5 year old who has curly hair as a leave in and it makes her hair soft and easy to brush and for myself I apply after I towel dry it comb it through and blow dry. It smells amazing and my hair feels just as good. I would buy this product again and recommend it to my clients!

This is like a leave in treatment that protects against heat styling so I tried it out before blow-drying and it definitely was easier to manage. I also tried this with my hair air dried then curled later and my hair felt great. Definitely would recommend to anyone who's wary of using heat on their hair.

Not only does it smell amazing, it doesn't feel heavy or greasy like other heat treatment and protectors I've tried. It leaves my hair looking and feeling super healthy and soft, and doesn't weigh it down or make it look oily like others I've tried either. I've even noticed less frizz and fly aways when I use it, and something I feel is a huge bonus - it doesn't leave residue on my straightener or curling wand! I would definitely purchase this product, and I'm so glad I finally got to try it out.
