What Else You Need to Know

Extreme products feature Redken's Strength Complex with protein-infused formulas to restore hair strength and prevent breakage and split ends. Clients saw a 75% reduction in breakage with a system of Extreme Shampoo Conditioner and Anti-Snap.

Recommended for at-home use 1-3 times per week based on the hair's condition. After shampooing, spray evenly on hair and lather. Leave on 3-5 minutes and rinse. Follow with the appropriate conditioner.

 

PRO TIP: Recommend to all clients who often receive haircolor and chemical services such as perms, relaxers, and double process blonde services. Extreme CAT can be used prior to a color service to equalize the porosity of the hair and optimize for even color results. Extreme CAT is a must for all color corrections!

After several treatments i can really see changes to my hair especially from the chemical damage that i have. Best used after using a clarifying shampoo for sure. i use more of this product on my ends that are completely fried. I have noticed major difference will continue to use

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Redken Extreme CAT Protein I honestly was not a fan of this product. I found it slightly difficult to spray my hair with the small pump while in the shower. I felt like I had to spray a lot to get all of my hair. Then afterwards, my hair felt dry and tangled. I have tried the product several times thinking I applied too much or not enough and the results have never been favorable. I was excited to try the product because I typically love Redken products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great protein treatment to fortify hair I have color-treated, damaged hair. I love this product because it works well to keep my hair strong and stops breakage. It's a rinse out product which I use right after shampooing. I leave it on longer than 5 minutes, 15-20 minutes on average. I follow with the conditioner because protein in this treatment makes my hair tangled more than usual. I see a significant difference if I skip using the treatment for a couple of weeks. Redken Extreme CAT Protein Rinse Out treatment makes brings the shine back to my color-treated hair. It also strenghtens my hair and prevents breakage at the ends.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hair Seems stronger Opposed to leave in treatments, this is a rinse out treatment. I would use this in the shower spraying my hair prior to conditioner & letting both soak in, while I would shave. I feel like it really has improved the strength of my hair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use This is really easy to use, I like how I can leave it on for a few minutes when I wash my hair to make it healthy and strong. My hair feels softer after I use it. I'd say the only down side of it being a spray is that it's hard to tell whether I'm using enough or got all of my hair when it's already wet, so I probably use too much.

I didn't notice a change in texture or shine, if anything it made my hair feel slightly dry during use. I'll use the rest of it but I don't think I'd buy again.

I was very hopeful when I received this product because I have dry and damaged hair. Unfortunately this product did not work for me. I followed directions as printed on the bottle. My hair was left stiff, dry and felt brittle. I used half the bottle so I really have it a chance, but there was no change in my hair.

I just spray it on after shampooing and let it sit while finishing up my shower then rinse it out. It doesn't irritate my scalp which is sensitive and I have bleached curls that are dry and damaged. It doesn't have an over power scent. I can say have noticed a small difference in my dry damaged.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dry hair, no more I have been using this for a few weeks now. My hair is normally, dry, frizzy and curly. I noticed after getting my hair done, it's usually dry and frizzy. I rinsed my hair with water, then squeezed out as much water as I could, raked my hands through my hair and left it on for about 10 min. I then applied conditioner. I noticed a difference in how it felt and looked. I used to use it a few times a week just to get my hair stronger. Now I use it 3 times a month. I would highly recommend and already have!

So many good reviews and yet this stuff dried out my 4c curly, highlighted hair SOOO badly. I got it to help strengthen and especially to detangle but it made my hair nearly impossible to detangle! Definitely won't use it again.

It is important to saturate the hair fully to achieve optimum results. My hair was softer, visibly less damaged, and since I have made no other changes to my hair routine, I think the difference is this Extreme CAT Protein Rinse Out Treatment. Recommended!

My hair felt soft and smooth and is easy to style. It was easy to use and rinsed out easy. I love using this when my hair gets dry from swimming and the sun. Definitely recommend 10/10

I don't think it helped my split ends that much. I like that it didn't weight down my hair. So overall it's good but I definitely used better products in the past.

A good conditioner seems like a better product. I'm giving it three stars for the fragrance. I didn't notice any difference between using this and my moisturizing conditioner.

After I wash my hair, I apply this all over my hair and I like to wait about 15 minutes to allow my hair to soak up all this treatment. Then I just rinse it all out and style my hair as usual. My hair is a bit damaged and over processed from using heat styling tools and the constant hair dyeing. My hair has been very dry, frizzy and even brittle. This hair treatment has really helped get my hair back to a better state. Since using this product, I've seen less breakage. My hair appears to be much stronger. It makes my hair feel softer and more smoother. I have fine curly hair and this Redken treatment doesn't weigh down my hair at all. It keeps my hair feeling natural and my curls always look more bouncy. I'm definitely purchasing this product as soon as I run out. I love it so much that I've been recommending it to all my friends.
