What Else You Need to Know

Color Extend Graydiant features an anti-yellow purple shampoo and color-depositing purple conditioner to brighten and strengthen gray and silver hair. Color Extend Graydiant is formulated with Citric Acid & customized violet pigments to transform gray hair and for 2x stronger* hair strands.

 

*When used as a complete system of Graydiant Shampoo and Conditioner

Use as a complete system with Color Extend Graydiant Conditioner. Wearing suitable gloves apply to wet hair lather and rinse well. Repeat if necessary. For maximum benefits leave second lather on 3-5 minutes. Rinse. Follow with Color Extend Blondage Conditioner.

 

CAUTION: This product contains ingredients which may cause skin irritation on certain individuals and a preliminary test according to accompanying directions should first be made. This product must not be used for dyeing the eyelashes or eyebrows; to do so may cause blindness. Avoid contact with eyes and skin (other than areas of application). If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. Keep out of reach of children. Do not ingest. Wear disposable gloves when applying. Wash hands thoroughly after use. Do not use on sensitive or irritated scalps. Perform the following skin allergy test 48 hours before each use of this product as allergies can develop suddenly even though you have previously used a haircolor product from this brand or another.

 

SKIN ALLERGY TEST: With soap and water wash an area the size of a quarter in the bend of your elbow. Pat dry with absorbent cotton. Apply product to test area using an absorbent cotton-tipped applicator. Let test spot dry. Do not wash cover or disturb for 48 hours. Examine test area periodically over the next 48 hours. If you experience any reactions - such as redness burning itching swelling skin abrasions eruptions or irritation in or around the test area you SHOULD NOT USE THIS PRODUCT OR ANY HAIRCOLOR UNTIL AFTER CONSULTING A DOCTOR.

But I know that purple shampoo is typically what I use to remove brass from my blonde. I was pleasantly surprised with this product. It smells nice but not overly strong. And keeps the brass/yellow out of my blonde. My only complaint is it makes a mess out of the shower.

My gray hair looked like it had grown in spots rather than the beautiful gray all over I imagined. I had spots of light reddish brown that just did not look good I thought. So I decided to give this Redken Color Extend Graydiant Purple Shampoo a try. The shampoo was easy to use, it is very pigmented so all I needed to do was use it like a regular shampoo. Put it in wet hair, lather up, leave on for a couple of minutes and rinse. The shampoo made my hair soft, shiny, and gray! My original gray hair became silver, and the brown hair became gray. I love it!! It is better than other purple shampoos I have tried so I am keeping it in my beauty routine. Once a week I use bother the shampoo and the conditioner. It is easy as that to have the hair I wanted! As a bonus the shampoo smells so good, unlike the medicinal scent of some other color enhancing shampoos I have tried. I was graciously offered this shampoo at no cost in return for my honest opinion. I was a little nervous because hey it is my hair but I am so glad I did!

I religiously use purple shampoos to keep this from happening. With that being said I definitely think this is a contender when it comes to top shampoos. Repetitive use will definitely increase that outcome. So overall I definitely think it's worth it.

I went through a bunch of different colors to finally achieve platinum and eventually I decided to get a silver/grey tint in my hair. I loved the sometimes silvery effect purple shampoo gave my blonde hair so that's why I made the change. It's very hard to keep your hair maintained and looking good when your natural hair is black and the tones just turn to brass. Well, after trying this, I'm impressed! It leaves my hair blonde blonde with a grey tint. It's like a potent purple shampoo. It also cleans my hair very well considering i don't wash it but 2 times a week since washing often isn't good for colored hair. The smell leaves a little to be desired, but I do like the product itself. It's something I would continue to purchase. I'd recommend using it with both parts, shampoo and conditioner.

The redken color extend shampoo did the opposite! It smelled great, gave wonderful hydration, and I could noticeably tell a difference following my first application. This will definitely be my go to for purple shampoo. Very impressed.
