Use as a complete system with Redken Color Extend Blondage conditioner twice a week. Apply to wet hair, lather and rinse well. Repeat if necessary. For maximum benefits leave second lather on for 1-3 minutes or longer if needed. Rinse.

This works so well, that for some of my clients, we can skip the toner.. this is also great to send home with my clients to maintain the platinum shade, that they love so much. I usually shampoo twice with the blondage and allow it to sit for a minute or two. Great product, would definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Holy Pigment! This stuff tones! When they say VIOLET shampoo they mean it. This stuff is crazy pigmented, like wear gloves it stains your hands. I tried it on my hair with my sewn in extensions. It grabbed quickly on my extensions so in hindsight I would dilute it down for my extensions. Tbh it did a little to my level 9/10 natural hair but not a ton. But this will definitely pre-tone someone be prepared on platinum hair it will be icy silver.

My color tends to turn brassy quickly, but this shampoo prevents that and I'm super happy with it. It has a decent amount of pigment, nice smell, and good lather. I recommend using it with the conditioner and mask!

Redken does a great job in creating a shampoo that brightens but doesn't dull or dry our colored hair. Since the ideal client is color treated blonde, often purple shampoos can feel harsh and not offer conditioning. Blondage Shampoo has a great smell and did a great job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This stuff is really good! I've tried many purple toning shampoos during the 30 years I've been a hair stylist. Most seem to be quite drying on the hair. The Redken Blondage shampoo is different. It has a nice fresh smell, lathers up some but not a ton, and works wonders on yellow/brassy tones in the hair. I think using this once to twice a week is the key to keeping blonde highlights looking their best. I used this shampoo in conjunction with the Redken Blondage conditioner and my clients hair was beautiful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brass banisher! I recently was blessed enough to receive the Redken Blondage complete line in exchange for my honest review. Thank the cool tone loving heavens that I got this product! I am a natural blonde who bleaches her hair to be an unrealistic white blonde routinely. I don't ever get my hair toned with an actual toner when I bleach, I just rely on toning shampoos or masks alone to take me to that silver purpley mix I just live for. I used to religiously swear by Brass Off by Matrix (which technically is intended for brunettes hoping to cool down warm hues as it's more of a blueish toner) but Redken is putting out a tough competitor. This shampoo will stain your hands, your hairline, your shower, and whatever else it touches if you aren't mindful. But that's the type of toning power I live for hoping to maintain my silvery gray I've got going on. This shampoo is a very rich thick consistency, it doesn't lather the easiest, but I do still feel clean after shampooing with it. I love the pigments it deposits, but I can see why others complain of its lack of a lather. I did not notice any harsh smells or over stripping. No purple shampoo is going to be amazing for the health or integrity of your hair, but I don't think this left mine in any worse of a position than other similar toning lines have. This is also a good staple to keep around not only for in between lightening services to banish brassy tones, but also if you have hard water at your home. I washed both of my daughters naturally blonde hair that picks up some unwanted hues from our hard water we have and it worked wonders on them. Once a month is all that a hard water user would need, and it left them brightened up and brought them back to their natural prettier shade of blonde. I have tried a lot of color depositing/toning shampoos, and this truly is one of my new favs. I would say it is very comparable to Pravana The Perfect Blonde shampoo as far as a similar color depositing experience would be.
