Redken’s Blonde IQ 9+ Calibrated Anti-Brass Lightener is a dual-action oil-powered system designed for advanced neutralization and up to 9 levels of powerful clean lift. The proprietary technology efficiently drives neutralization power to the hair’s core; breaking down eumelanin and pheomelanin for your most neutralized blonde.

Perfect for balayage, foiling and all over blonding, Redken Blonde IQ 9+ is to only be used with Redken Pro Oxide Oil Developers 10 – 30 Volume to guarantee precise results you expect.

What Else You Need to Know

Redken Blonde IQ 9+ provides no swelling, better saturation, even lift, and precise application, delivering a powerful clean lift for all hair types and textures. Its versatile formulation is ideal for a wide range of services, including balayage, foiling, and all over blonding.

How To

Wear suitable disposable gloves. Mix product in a well-ventilated area. Follow mixture ratios carefully, or damage to hair or scalp including irritation, hair loss or chemical burns could occur.

1. Put the recommended amount of Blonde IQ™ 9+ Lightener and Pro-Oxide Oil Developer 10V (3%), 20V (6%) or 30V (9%) in a non-metallic bowl.

2. Blend until smooth creamy consistency is achieved.

I decided to try this. I love the consistency of this lightener it is so smooth. It spreads through the hair like a dream and you don’t have to push it through the hair like other formulas. It pre tones the hair as it lifts, which is beautiful. Some blondes you may not have to even tone, but it is a great pre tone. It keeps the hairs integrity silky soft due to the oil. I will say, it does slow the processing time down a little bit, but it gets there! It doesn’t kick up dust, it won’t bleed if you mix it properly, and I haven’t noticed swelling with this yet. Overall I think it’s a great lightener. My only question is, can the oil developers be used with the permanent color gels? Can the 10 vol be used with shades eq? Or will the oil cause it to seperate? I may have to test that out. My only downside to this product would be if I have to keep different developers stocked.

The prettiest most balanced lift, and works SO quickly! Adjusted my timing and paying attention to pulling foils especially around the hairline but I feel like I can trust this to do the job and I have had zerooo issues, such a beautiful even lift and I’m not sitting around forever waiting for it to reach desired level!
