The proprietary technology efficiently drives neutralization power to the hair’s core; breaking down eumelanin and pheomelanin for your most neutralized blonde.

Perfect for balayage, foiling and all over blonding, Redken Blonde IQ 9+ is to only be used with Redken Pro Oxide Oil Developers 10 – 30 Volume to guarantee precise results you expect.

What Else You Need to Know

Redken Blonde IQ 9+ provides no swelling, better saturation, even lift, and precise application, delivering a powerful clean lift for all hair types and textures. Its versatile formulation is ideal for a wide range of services, including balayage, foiling, and all over blonding.

How To

Wear suitable disposable gloves. Mix product in a well-ventilated area. Follow mixture ratios carefully, or damage to hair or scalp including irritation, hair loss or chemical burns could occur.

1. Put the recommended amount of Blonde IQ™ 9+ Lightener and Pro-Oxide Oil Developer 10V (3%), 20V (6%) or 30V (9%) in a non-metallic bowl.

2. Blend until smooth creamy consistency is achieved.

It mixes so creamy, and has no swelling!! It’s a a dream. The only teeeeeeny tiny drawback is the blue base could make your hair appear lighter than it is, I always add an extra 5 min just to be safe.

I sure wish they had included a 20v or higher to test as I just wasn’t sure what to do with the 10v oil developer as I would never chose to use this formulation for “blonding”. The packaging is lux, the consistency is like silky perfection but I was only able to achieve a very light caramel brown lift with the included developer on level 6 natural brown hair. The hair felt amazing post bleach, very conditioned which is great. I’m very happy with the lightening powder itself and will have to grab a higher volume developer next time I’m at Salon Centric.

I wasnt sure why I didnt get a 20volume and tried it anyone. Twice on colored hair and it lifted lighter than I thought. On an ashy level 6 I was so happy with it no toning needed.

My model had natural level 5-6 and wanted to get as light as possible. We did a full foil with baby lights and it came out beautiful without much brassiness and also minimal toner needed.

As a participant of the BzzAgent sampling program, I received a free container of Redken Blonde IQ 9+ & Pro Oxide Oil Developer 10 Volume in exchange for writing an honest review. I have been professionally coloring and bleaching hair, including my own, for over 15 years and in all that time, I have never used, or even thought about using 10 vol developer for bleaching hair!! Even 20 vol has never been enough to lighten my resistant hair. I have always skipped straight to 40 vol. When I first received the Blonde IQ 9+ with the 10 vol developer, I was kind of confused. I had never heard of using 10 vol developer for bleach, it was always for color when you didn’t need to lift the hair any lighter. So, I decided to put it through the real test and try it on myself. The bleach powder came in a plastic bag with a bread tie down inside a tub with a tight-fitting lid. It was lavender in color and completely dust free. The oil developer was a creamy consistency, almost like a lotion. When I mixed the two together, there was still no dust as I poured it into the bowl. While using the mixture in foils, it didn’t swell at all. I had to do a root touch-up on myself and as it reached the last few minutes of the 50-minute processing time, I felt a mild tingle where I got it too close to the scalp in a few spots. Overall, it wasn’t bad at all considering I have a very sensitive scalp. Next is the reveal. I have attached 2 pictures for you to see the results of using this bleach along with their 10 vol developer. The first picture is my before and after photo. Let me remind you, my natural hair color is like a level 2 very dark brown. It’s also very resistant to lightening. This is the result after 1 process for 50 minutes, as the instructions stated. Now the 2nd photo is a bit older from me using a different bleach product with 40 volume developer. As you can see, there’s not much of a difference, especially considering I was using 40 vol compared to 10 vol. I really can’t say enough good about this product. I’ll let the pictures speak the rest for themselves.

The first client was a bronde highlight, and I was so impressed with both the lift and the tone we achieved. The second was a grey blend highlight, and again, the lift was perfect. I also loved the consistency of the product — it made saturation super easy and even throughout the application. The third client wanted a bright, heavy blonde, and the final result was beautiful! The hair lifted cleanly and looked bright while still feeling healthy. Overall, I’m extremely impressed with Blonde IQ+ and will definitely continue using it on my clients going forward. 10/10!

Something I will be adding as a permanent product in my salon. With developers from 10 volume through 30 volume, I feel like I have true control over the amount of lift. This lightner offers great nuetrlization and has a nice creamy workable texture that doesn't swell and provides even lift.
