What It Does

Redken’s Blonde IQ 9+ Calibrated Anti-Brass Lightener is a dual-action oil-powered system designed for advanced neutralization and up to 9 levels of powerful clean lift. The proprietary technology efficiently drives neutralization power to the hair’s core; breaking down eumelanin and pheomelanin for your most neutralized blonde.

Perfect for balayage, foiling and all over blonding, Redken Blonde IQ 9+ is to only be used with Redken Pro Oxide Oil Developers 10 – 30 Volume to guarantee precise results you expect.

What Else You Need to Know

Redken Blonde IQ 9+ provides no swelling, better saturation, even lift, and precise application, delivering a powerful clean lift for all hair types and textures. Its versatile formulation is ideal for a wide range of services, including balayage, foiling, and all over blonding.

Wear suitable disposable gloves. Mix product in a well-ventilated area. Follow mixture ratios carefully, or damage to hair or scalp including irritation, hair loss or chemical burns could occur.

1. Put the recommended amount of Blonde IQ™ 9+ Lightener and Pro-Oxide Oil Developer 10V (3%), 20V (6%) or 30V (9%) in a non-metallic bowl.

2. Blend until smooth creamy consistency is achieved.

Lifts quickly on levels 6+ so I highly recommend starting with 10vol around the hairline and in the back. Definitely my go to!

I used it with 10 volume and was able to get a nice sandy blonde without too much warmth. I am really excited to try this on more clients, as it seemed to be very even root to tip and even with 10v was able to lift a significant amount without being brassy.

My blonde Clients have lighter and brighter. The hair is soft and no breakage. Elasticity in tact. I have bought 3 or 4 bags of this so far. I highly recommend.

I had to rinse her out halfway through the service. Will not buy again! The first two applications with it went smoothly but the last one was a deal breaker.

The lift was perfect and even. The oil developer helped with the integrity of the hair, and kept it from feeling dried out. It was also gentle while having high lifting power! I am so happy to have a higher lifting bleach that isn’t flash lift!!

Buying a product and doing what it’s supposed to do it’s chef’s kiss! Be mindful of the ratios, you will get a different result depending on it. Timing as well. You will see it shown and specified in the packaging. My hair type is medium straight and natural dark brown color and it lifted to a honey/caramel color. I loved the color so much I didn’t even used a toner afterwards. And because the developer has oil in it, it didn’t damage my hair. It is smooth and soft. Honestly, I’m impressed with the results.

The anti-brass technology really makes a difference, especially for anyone trying to achieve cooler blondes or a cleaner canvas for toning. The consistency was smooth and easy to worth with. Overall, this is one of the better lighteners I’ve used for achieving bright blonde results while maintaining the condition and integrity of the hair.

This lightener exceeded my expectations by a lot. I normally use Blondor and I found this one pretty comparable. The texture made it pretty easy to apply and it lifted really well, even with 10 vol, without leaving the hair feeling rough or damaged.
