What Else You Need to Know

Redken Blonde IQ High-Lifts delivers synchronized lift and tone in 1 step and delivers dimensional results for all hair types and textures. Its formulation is ideal for 1-step lift & tone service on virgin hair and root regrowth.

• Wear suitable disposable gloves.​

• Mix 2 oz. (60ml) of Blonde IQ™ calibrated anti-brass high-lifts with 4oz. (120ml) of Pro-Oxide™ Cream Developer.

• Use exclusively with the recommended developer, 20 – 40 volume (12%) maximum. Do not use with hydrogen peroxide greater than 40 volume (12%). Use only in the proportions indicated. Always use after mixing.

• Application and rinsing: Wear suitable disposable gloves. Do not use with metal tools (clips, combs, etc). Process at​ room temperature for 45 minutes. DO NOT USE HEAT. Rinse hair well after the processing time.

The swatch lifted several levels. Much better than bleach did. While it did lift, I would not use it on someone with box color or very dark hair.

As a millennial stylist who’s tried everything from Wella to Schwarzkopf, this High IQ combo is all about controlled, low-stress blonding. The Blonde Idol High Lift Violet gives a softer, more refined lift than bleach, and the violet base helps keep yellow tones in check as long as you’re starting at the right level. It’s not a miracle worker, but it’s reliable. The Pro-Oxide Cream Developer is consistent and easy to work with. It’s creamy, doesn’t dry out, and gives predictable lift, which honestly matters more than anything flashy. I keep this duo on hand for natural level 6–8 clients who want to go lighter without heavy bleaching. It saves time, lifts and tones in one step, and is gentler on the hair. That said, it’s not for major transformations, and you still need solid formulation skills to get the best result. I’d absolutely recommend it to other stylists who want clean, wearable blondes with less damage.

Well I tried the Natural and I love it. The color isn’t as thick as other brands so a little goes a long way. Doesn’t smell like black licorice- that’s a big win! 50 min w no heat processing time. I’m impressed with the results of this N and absolutely no brassy tones. Definitely recommend. Redken wins.

She lifted to a true caramel highlight, not a brassy highlight. Loved that I saved some time by skipping the toning step because time=money. On level 3–4 hair, the 40 vol lifts to a really nice caramel blonde without getting too brassy. The biggest benefit is being able to create blonde tones without always needing to pre-lighten, which saves time and is better for the hair. I would definitely buy this again and recommend it to other stylists.
