What It Is

Blondage High Bright Shampoo is the answer to blondes who lose lightness and brightness in the weeks between salon visits. This shampoo is step #2 of a full brightening regimen powered by Vitamin C and Redken's Brightening Care Complex, which keeps blonde light and brightens up hair instantly.

What It Does

Blondage High Bright Shampoo washes away buildup and impurities and brightens hair that has dulled, darkened, or mattified due to dulling agents and pollution. Its Vitamin C composition is known for its brightening benefits in skincare. This system is formulated with chelators for instant results and lightweight finish for a non-drying look & feel.

What Else You Need to Know

Using the entire High Bright system will provide a brighter blonde instantly. What is the difference between Redken's Blondage Core and Blondage High Bright? The Blondage Core is formulated with violet-pigmented toning technology for high level blondes looking to take out brass and neturalize orange or yellow tones. Blondage High Bright is formulated by Vitamin C + Brightening Care Complex, which lifts brightness of blondes or highlights. It also removes impurities that darken, dull and mattify blonde hair for brighter results.

It makes my hair super blonde and it also makes it soft and shiny. I have a normally oily scalp and this works really good for mine. But I also think that it would work good for dry because it does make my hair so shiny and moisturized.

I can say that if using all products from Redken line, your blond will look totally better. I have oil scalp and wash my head every day or day after day. I definitely buy new ones after finish that I got from Influenster.

Is it suppose to be used an in between purple shampoo uses? I didn’t not like it, I just don’t find it any more beneficial than their purple shampoo. Unless I found out a significant different between this and purple shampoo, I wouldn’t purchase again. I also am not a huge fan of the smell. This is a much stronger version of their purple shampoo which was already kind of strong, like cologne.

I only wash my hair about once a week so I’ll have to use it a few more times to really see the added benefit.

Honestly when I got it I was pretty excited because I have bleached blonde hair. But after trying it out a couple time I couldn’t see a difference in my hair. It smells nice at least.

Overall I liked the scent of the shampoo, it’s not too overbearing. It lathers nicely and cleaned my hair well. I have a more oily scalp with dry ends and my hair is blonde and highlighted.

My hair tends to get a bit dull after a couple of weeks post salon visit and this helps to restore the bright blonde color, remove brassiness and restore shine! IMO it’s a tiny bit drying so just be sure you condition afterwards. Definitely recommend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Leaves my hair feeling soft! The Redken Blondage High Brightening Shampoo is a clear, lightweight formula. Honestly, I can say I was expecting a purple shampoo. However, the shampoo lathers nicely, has a light scent. but gets my hair clean. The application process is a bit different. Considering you need to dampen the hair and coat it with the Redken Brightening Treatment spray then without rinsing and soaking the hair. If my hair was not fully soaked in the treatment spray, lathering the shampoo could be challenging. Otherwise, I enjoyed using the shampoo on my hair. It left it feeling clean, not stripped. Even with my fine hair, I was able to achieve some body. As for brightening qualities. it does slightly remove brassiness with every wash. I would recommend this shampoo.

After two weeks, there has been a definite and obvious improvement in the brassiness left from my last lift. To me it smells a bit like a men's product, the scent is a bit strong, but it didn't stay in my hair for too long.

I felt like it made my hair really greasy, but that could've been the pre-treatment. It smells good. It's not really "natural" and is not cruelty free, and those are both important to me right now, so I would not buy. I cannot say how it works with brassier or colored blonde hair. I feel like it would work better on colored hair.
