What It Is

Blondage High Bright Shampoo is the answer to blondes who lose lightness and brightness in the weeks between salon visits. This shampoo is step #2 of a full brightening regimen powered by Vitamin C and Redken's Brightening Care Complex, which keeps blonde light and brightens up hair instantly.

What It Does

Blondage High Bright Shampoo washes away buildup and impurities and brightens hair that has dulled, darkened, or mattified due to dulling agents and pollution. Its Vitamin C composition is known for its brightening benefits in skincare. This system is formulated with chelators for instant results and lightweight finish for a non-drying look & feel.

What Else You Need to Know

Using the entire High Bright system will provide a brighter blonde instantly. What is the difference between Redken's Blondage Core and Blondage High Bright? The Blondage Core is formulated with violet-pigmented toning technology for high level blondes looking to take out brass and neturalize orange or yellow tones. Blondage High Bright is formulated by Vitamin C + Brightening Care Complex, which lifts brightness of blondes or highlights. It also removes impurities that darken, dull and mattify blonde hair for brighter results.

It was a little weird to wet my hair, then pre-treat before shampooing. At first it really didn't feel like much was happening, however after using the S & C, I could tell the tecture of my hair was much softer and less frizzy. I am si glad the color of the S & C is not purple, which stains my hands and shower! I do wish it would be easier to tell the difference between the S & C bottle since I dont wear my glasses in the shower. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love It! This shampoo is the second step in the Redken Blondage High Bright system. Once the pre-treatment is rinsed out, the shampoo is applied. The pre-treatment primes the hair for the shampoo and I don't know if it's because of the pre-treatment...or if it's just how the shampoo is as a stand alone product, but there is a big suds payoff. The shampoo is rich and it does not take very much at all. I have thick, coarse textured hair past my shoulders and I found I only needed about 1/3 of the amount of shampoo that I normally use. My scalp felt clean, but my hair did not feel stripped, thanks to the formula being PH balanced. I definitely noticed that my hair brighter and my 8 month old highlights looked much fresher after using this system. I would recommend this system as an alternative to purple shampoos and conditioners for anyone who wants to freshen up their blonde color.

I notice that it tones down the brassy color of my blonde streaks. I love the smell and the ingredients and my hair feels great after using. I use this in between my purple shampoo washes and maintains my look effectively.

The idea, however, is that it is meant to lighten your hair color when used with the other products. I used this with the conditioner as well as the pre-treatment but didn't really see any obvious results. For the price I'm not sure it's worth it for the results. I did see some improvements in volume and texture but not so much the color. I received this for free from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

However this is nice because it doesn’t turn the whole shower purple and it smells great compared to purple shampoo. I’d recommend just for the ease of use and not staining anything

I noticed my blonde looking brighter, but not much brighter than when I usually wash it… i do think this system is a good alternative to purple shampoo, though. I do think this is not a product for someone who doesn’t like multiple steps or longer time to wash. My hair didn’t feel soft and my ends seemed very dried out and I wanted to wash again with my usual routine products. I think it’s nice for once in a great while if it seems like your blonde has some build up or looks dull. Or maybe just using the shampoo on its own with a good moisturizing conditioner.
