What It Is

Blondage High Bright Shampoo is the answer to blondes who lose lightness and brightness in the weeks between salon visits. This shampoo is step #2 of a full brightening regimen powered by Vitamin C and Redken's Brightening Care Complex, which keeps blonde light and brightens up hair instantly.

What It Does

Blondage High Bright Shampoo washes away buildup and impurities and brightens hair that has dulled, darkened, or mattified due to dulling agents and pollution. Its Vitamin C composition is known for its brightening benefits in skincare. This system is formulated with chelators for instant results and lightweight finish for a non-drying look & feel.

What Else You Need to Know

Using the entire High Bright system will provide a brighter blonde instantly. What is the difference between Redken's Blondage Core and Blondage High Bright? The Blondage Core is formulated with violet-pigmented toning technology for high level blondes looking to take out brass and neturalize orange or yellow tones. Blondage High Bright is formulated by Vitamin C + Brightening Care Complex, which lifts brightness of blondes or highlights. It also removes impurities that darken, dull and mattify blonde hair for brighter results.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great smell I absolutely love the scent it’s very clean and crisp not overpowering chemical scent like some blonde hair products can be. Doesn’t dry out my hair either. I have platinum blonde hair this product removes some brass, but not all. I’d recommend this for blondes with darker or golden undertones, but not for platinum, white, or ash tones if you’re looking for a big difference.

It did brighten my blonde hair, but I could accomplish the same results with a purple shampoo.

However, the second time I used it, my hair was so frizzy and it looked dry. That could’ve been that I didn’t apply any leave in treatment afterwards to calm the frizziness, but my hair never looked that frizzy with other shampoos. I also wish it lathered more because I find that I keep having to use more in order for my hair to feel clean. It also has a pretty strong scent, which isn’t my favorite. I probably wouldn’t purchase their products on my own.

Any product that is going to help prevent my blonde from going brassy is a winner in my books, and of course being a shampoo, it should leave my hair feeling clean and light. This product seems to do that, when used in union with the pre-treatment spray and conditioner. It’s not as deep of a purple as any of my other shampoos promising to do the same. The color is more of a light lavender. It lathers easily and feels rich and smooth to the touch. I leave it on my scalp for longer as you would with any of the other purple shampoos to let it absorb. After using, my hair feels clean, bouncy and soft.

I use the pre-treatment first and then wash with the shampoo. This is a great option for purple shampoo.

I use a lot of products in my hair because I stylet a lot and this definitely made it feel clean. I use it for a while and I just didn’t feel like it was brightening my hair. I expected it to work more like a purple shampoo and it didn’t. I did leave my hair soft and feeling clean.

I always hate how purple shampoo makes my hair feel dull over time but this shampoo undoes all of that dullness. I’ll even say after I shampooed my hair with this all the girls in the salon were asking if I just did a new toner it’s that amazing!

I used all 3 steps and took photos before then after 3 different applications (separate days). I don’t see a difference in the color at all. Maybe after a month or so?

I didn’t notice any brightening from the pair overall, but it did not make my color dull, so I call that a win! My hair is still bright from the salon, and also the shampoo/conditioner combo does not weigh my thinned postpartum hair out like so many other hair products.
