It adds smoothness and shine to my coarse hair. It has a similar weight to Olaplex oil. It soaks in and doesn't weigh my hair down. It has the same scent as the shampoo and conditioner in this range. I have the Moroccan Hair Oil, Kerastase & Olaplex and I keep reaching for the Redken. It hasn't totally dethroned Olaplex but I really enjoy using it.

It does add shine to the hair but I don't think that it does to good of a job when it comes to taming frizz. I definitely think that this oil would be more ideal for clients with finer hair.
