Application: Clean dry or damp hair.

I was worried because I am used to working with shades eq processing solution that is no lift so I was worried the 10 volume developer would lift my root area but its not left on long enough to do that so I was super happy! The 9v left my client SO ICY and the 7na was a really good color to refresh the ends of my root retouch! I'm super happy with the results!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from New toner product Tonal Control is a new product from Matrix. The application is like a creme color but a little thinner. I would recommend using a brush and bowl vs. a color applicator bottle. The toner was applied on dry hair for a total of 20 minutes as a refresh to already hilited and naturally blonde hair. The final overall tonality is fairly neutralized. There's still a bit more warmth them I would see if I used Redken Shades Eq toner gloss. My hair felt a bit dryer then it was before the toner too. No new hilites were put in prior to the Tonal Control toners. The pictures were before and then after with both being air dried & no product in the hair. You can see the hair looks a bit more puffy afterwards hence the drier feeling. I am going to apply a deep conditioning treatment in hopes it'll feel better. I would use the product again, but it just doesn't give the same tone that I was expecting and lacks extra shine. Those are the drawbacks for me. Maybe the 2nd time it'll look different after freshly hilited. The time given for these product tests are kinda rushed and my blonde clients didn't fall into the time frame for this review, so I had to use it.

These toners are easy to mix up with the Cream Developer in 10 Volume. The consistency of the toner is great, it allows for great coverage! The results are absolutely beautiful! Great tone to the hair! Definitely would recommend!
