What It Does

What Else You Need to Know

• Ideal for all hair types including dark bases and all hair patterns

• High Riser Pre-Bonded can be used on all starting levels including levels 1-4 when maximum lift is desired.

 

• When using on lighter levels (5+) it is recommend to use either 10 or 20 volume Matrix Cream Developer and to check lifting action frequently.

 

• For Balayage and/or Free Hand Techniques: Mix High Riser with 10 20 30 or 40 volume Matrix Cream Developer in a 1:1 ratio. Process for up to 50 minutes depending on desired results. Do not use heat.

 

• For Highlights in Foils: Mix High Riser with 10 20 30 or 40 volume Matrix Cream Developer in a 1:1.5 ratio. Process for up to 50 minutes depending on desired results. Do not use heat.

 

• For On-Scalp Applications: Mix High Riser with 10 20 or 30 volume Matrix Cream Developer in a 1:2 ratio. Do not use 40 Volume. Process for up to 50 minutes depending on desired results. Do not use heat. Do not cover the hair. Do not gather hair in a bun.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love it! but… So far i really like this lightener! i can appreciate having 9 levels of lift as most my clients are naturally dark! only problem was it gave my client an allergic reaction when doing a root touch up, ive used regular lightmaster and never had that issue so it might be an allergy to the bonder?

It was smooth when mixed, good consistency. Easy to apply to foils. And it lifted beautifully! I used it on a dark blonde/light brown hair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice bleach I liked this bleach. I tried it on a mannequin since I haven't had many blondeing clients coming in and was impressed. The mannequin was darker and Multi colored from previous color testing. She got a good about of lift in 30 minutes with 30 vol. There wasn't a lot of scent to the bleach which I liked the consistency was good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love I absolutely love this lightener! I was already a fan of matrix lighteners, but I think so far this is my favorite. It gives the hair, such a nice, clean and even lift! I was honestly surprised in how fast this worked on a level four client. Lately, I'm so used to the Lightener is leaving little spots due to the inability to be mixed correctly, but there is no issue with this one in specific. I also love the ratio of developer to Lightener because I think it gives the perfect consistency. I'm a huge fan of the price point of the matrix products because I think that they are so stylist friendly And help you increase your revenue while not breaking the bank.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a hit. I've been using Matrix products for years, especially their lighteners. This one is my least favorite. The smell alone mixed with the developer was so strong, my eyes watered. I NEEDED a mask. Also, the initial mixing ratio was like paste, I had to add more developer. I tried on 2 occasions, just in case I did something wrong, which I didn't, I've been doing hair for over 20 years. This lightener for me wasn't as fast. I felt this was actually a bit slower than other Matrix developers. I also, was nervous to use my foils, because they weren't the brand that is recommended on the packaging. I probably would only use this on super short, buzzed hair, but not for any of my traditional highlight services.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from High Hopes I had high hopes for the new High Riser Pre Bonded lightener from Matrix. While it does lift and lighten, I honestly didn't notice any difference from other lighteners. It is specifically advertised for lifting dark bases. I was excited to try this on a client that I have been slowly and very carefully lifting over the past 6 months. I was terribly disappointed. Not only did it not do the job as well as my normal Matrix lightener, I actually felt there was more damage caused. I have tried it multiple times on multiple levels of hair. It works well for a basic lift on medium to light bases but definitely not on a dark base. Nothing special here.

I started my client off with a level 5 faded out, 9 months of grey regrowth, who wanted a tiktok inspired hair color called the Veil Technique. I was nervous to say the least but this lighter worked its magic and when it says it lifts 9 levels.. it was not joking. It's consistency it's a little thicker than its usual bonder inside lighter which I already use but I didn't mind working with it. My client said it did not burn her scalp and we used 20 volume.
