What It Is

A silicone-free, super clarifying shampoo.

What It Does

Provides deep cleansing to remove buildup at the root that causes hair to be weighed down.

 

Apply once a week to wet hair at the root area. Lather. Rinse well. Repeat if necessary. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately. Follow with High Amplify Conditioner or High Amplify Shine Rinse.

 

PRO TIP: If root clarifying is needed more than once a week, apply High Amplify Root Up Wash to root area & High Amplify Shampoo from mid shaft to ends. Follow with High Amplify Conditioner or High Amplify Shine Rinse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Upgraded volumizer I usually tend to stay away from these types of volumizers I usually find more of a benefit from volumizers in a spray however this one was nice especially while doing a blowout it added a nice level volume without being too sticky.

Honestly, I have never used a product like this before but was quite amazed at what a difference I noticed. I, myself do not often use hair products in my hair as I prefer a more natural look. However, I do on occasion so I was definitely intrigued by this product. I have been using it once a week to clarify and eliminate the impurities and build-up of any minimal product I might have in my hair. What a difference Matrix High Amplify Root Up Wash made! Just after one use my hair felt lighter and had so much more volume it was unbelievable! I am super excited I found a product such as this. Overall, my hair now looks super healthy and voluminous with a shine that I've never had before. This product I would absolutely definitely purchase in the future. And as with any item I am particularly happy with, I have already begun to recommend it to my friends and family members. Receiving this free sample product was truly a blessing!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Noticeable Difference I liked this product very much. I used it once a week for several weeks and after about 3 weeks I noticed a very positive difference. I use a lot of product and sometimes I get a lot of product build up and no matter how much I wash I feel like my hair is not completely clean. Using this made a difference. I felt like my hair was free of build up. I also felt like it was easier to style more manageable as well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not exceptional I've used a lot of different clarifying shampoos and this one is pretty much the same as any other. It does not smell very good at all and I've noticed no "root amplification" at all after using. The only real benefit I've noticed is with hair extensions. I use keratin bonded extensions and when I use this shampoo prior to install it really eliminated all the oils and my extensions have lasted about a month longer before starting to fall out. Overall it's an ok clarifying shampoo but there are a lot of products that are just as effective that are less expensive and smell better. I probably wouldn't purchase this product again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from serves it's purpose I found root wash to do as intended, but I also find that my tea tree oil shampoo seems to do as well if not a better job of stripping the impurities and deep cleaning. If you do not currently have a product that does this for you to your liking I would recommend you give this a try. As with all their products, it smells great.

If you have dry hair beware it will totally strip your hair of any sebum. But if you are prone to dandruff and or oily thick hair this stuff is for you. As for volume didn't do a thing for my thin hair.

I received this sample to try and oh my goodness what a difference it has made in my hair since I started using it. My hair has never felt this clean, or soft. It cleanses away all the buildup from styling products. It gave my roots some volume and I loved the scent. I will be purchasing this and I recommend this to anyone looking for gorgeous hair.

I do not use a lot of heavy products on my hair in general and wondered what the effect of the product would have on my hair, and basically, whether the product would cause my hair to be dry and brittle. My hair was literally squeaking as I rinsed it and after shampooing and conditioning it was shinier. I had not even understood how dull my hair was until I used this product. My hair was easier to de-tangle and did not require any hydrating or "shine' products. I would have NEVER looked at this product on the shelf and thought it would benefit my hair. It also meant that I didn't need to s much shampoo and conditioner as I usually do.

I have thin hair so I was super excited to try it out. Its suppose to remove buildup at the roots and take away the things that weigh fine hair down. After using it twice, I used it as a weekly treatment, my hair looked better. It had more volume, it looked cleaner and the color was brighter. I think I might start using it more frequently. I definitely would purchase and recommend it.
