Rated 3 out of 5 by from It’s ok If you use too much, it is very sticky!!! I had to rewash my clients hair! But if you use just a little it goes a long way! But- I could not take the smell on my own hair. My clients were mixed on it. It does create volume on fine hair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from XXL isn't an understatement Very few volumizing products truly surprise me... well this one does! I used this for the first time on a client with soft straight, virgin hair. Im always hesitant to use a nice amount for fear it will make the hair crunchy or sticky so i used it sparingly and only on her roots. So I did a rough dry then finished with a large brush... and omg! We were both pleasantly surprised! I will be using this personally too!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doesn’t feel great I unfortunately didn’t love this product. The only issue was the way it made my hair feel. It still did its job and smelled nice, but my hair felt a little weird after. Not quite a stickiness but it definitely felt like there was a strange product in my hair. If you don’t mind the feel of it then you can definitely use it for its purpose. Maybe use a very small amount and build from there and you’ll have less of an issue although I don’t feel like I used an excessive amount. This product will still give volume and a light hold if you don’t mind the paste-esque feel to it. The smell is pleasant.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent Volumizing Mousse I recently tried Matrix's Food For Soft XXL Big 'N Soft Extra Hydrating & Volumizing Mousse.  I don't usually use mousse when styling my hair but I liked this one.  It wasn't too heavy or sticky for my fine hair.  I only used one pump and it was plenty for my hair and added some volume.  The smell wasn't bad but not my favorite.  I would recommend if you have fine hair andike to use mousse.

However, having said that, I’ve had multiple clients tell me they love the way it smells (unprompted) so I think it’s very subjective. But this would very easily be a go to styling formula otherwise.

I have very over processed and damaged hair and have tried so many styling mousses and they were either way too sticky, too heavy or both. With this foam however, it’s great for my fine hair because it adds great body to it without weighing down my hair. I would highly recommend this product because it holds my hair perfectly throughout the day with minimal touch ups needed. Fabulous product!

It is not heavy and doesn’t weigh the hair down. There isn’t much hold to it. Myself personally I like my mouse with a little more hold. Overall if I could not find a different mouse I like more I will repurchase

It is not sticky nor crunchy it leaves my hair feeling so soft I put about two pumps for my slightly longer than shoulder length hair. It adds shine and helps with frizz.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly love! I loved everything about this product EXCEPT for the smell. It’s not a bad smell but just not a fan personally. I was so impressed with the amount of lift and volume I was able to achieve on fine hair WITHOUT the crunch most mousse gives. Not only did it not leave the crunchy feeling but it truly makes your hair so soft and shiny! I especially love that it is a heat protectant as well. I will definitely continue using this mousse. You do need to watch how many pumps you use. I used way too much one time and it left that crunchy, gross feeling so less is more.

I have thick long hair which sometimes needs a little help and this gave me a little extra volume at the root when blowing dry with a round brush. Not a heavy product, and not crunchy when blowing dry. On curly hair it helped shape the curls and add volume, however I felt I needed to use a lot of product which is why I gave it 4 stars

I love the smell, I love that it’s not sticky like a typical mousse, and I also love that it didn’t leave my hair crunchy. I have natural wavy hair that is very prone to frizz. After my hair dried, my hair was soft, my roots definitely had more volume which I did love, by mid day my hair was frizzier than normal. This one might be better for more of a curlier haired person.

It was different using a mousse for not scrunching—but it 100% made my hair soft and smooth. It definitely gave a little volume, too. I thought it was going to make my hair oily as some products do, but it kinda did the opposite! I love the smell of these products and will recommend/buy again!

But I was pleasantly surprised with how soft and manageable the hair was when using this! It even did great with diffusing curls! This will be a staple for me now!
