Food For Soft provides 7x more moisture for up to 72 hours when used as a system of Food For Soft Shampoo, Conditioner, or Mask & Oil vs non-conditioning shampoo.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Thank you, next Just another silicone-heavy serum, in the sea of silicone that is 90% of the haircare industry. People.....silicone will not repair your hair. Silicone will not hydrate your hair. Silicone will not strengthen your hair. Silicone WILL coat your hair in a film that makes hair APPEAR shiny and healthy, all the while creating a barrier against moisture. And thus drying your hair out overtime. Especially due to the fact that you will need to use a harsh sulfate cleanser to remove the non water-soluble silicones. All of this leads to...you guessed it, dry frizzy hair. And then you reach for a hair oil to tame it and make it look healthy. A hair oil that contains barely any nourishing oils, but LOTS of silicone. Wash, rinse..and PASS.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not heavy Love this line. Got this a free sample for this review. This oil smell amazing but not overpowering. It penetrates the hair rather than laying on top of it. It gives the hair amazing shine. It is comparable to Moroccan oil but smells better. The only thing I do not like about it is the bottle being glass worried about it slipping of my station and breaking. Also, I do not like using an eyedropper to get is out of the bottle. I would rather it be a pump.

My client has course thick hair and most oils do not work for her or just leave her hair grease. Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST PRODUCT IN THIS NEW LINE I recently was blessed enough to receive the Matrix Food For Soft Hair Oil in exchange for my honest review and I am so very thankful that I did! This product out of the full line that I received is the product I was most impressed with. I love the packaging design they chose, the colors are so cute, the sleek glass bottle with eye dropper style dispenser is a great way to control product usage. The whole line smells amazing, but this little guy packs a punch with the scent and it's product promises delivery. Following the shampoo, conditioner, and mask from this product line I was not left with unruly hair by any means, but still wanted to try this product out, and it was the cherry on top. It not only did wonders to my own bleach damaged, dry, very porous hair, but also to my 22 inch long extensions. Such a good hydrating and nourishing product. It leaves hair SO shiny, silky soft, and helps noticeably to tame frizz and flyaways. It doesn't leave hair looking oily or greasy, but somehow delivers that perfect amount of voilà! 10/10 recommend to any and everyone. For real, my friends will be hearing about this product from me for the next year probably. I plan to purchase this for my friend to use on her wedding day that's how much I admire this product. This was my absolute favorite product from their full line and out of all my hair leave in products I've ever tried, this was definitely a top pick and will be repurchased every time BEFORE I run out. I honest to goodness truth would opt for this hair oil as opposed to Olaplexs hair oil every time. It's very hard to get the right formula for hair oil where you get that glossy but not greasy look and somehow they've found a magic formula that not only works amazing but has a long lasting smell. I sleep with my hair in a bonnet and I applied the hair oil the the previous morning, and when I took my bonnet off I was like oh my gosh what is that good smell and then remembered I used the oil and it literally smelled like I had just freshly applied it. I just cannot give enough props, praise, or credit to this product you guys! Try it for yourself!

It's so easy to get exactly the amount that you need which is just a few drops and spread it from mid lengths to ends. I've used it on both my freshly showered damp hair and also on my freshly straightened done hair and both ways are winners. It also had that iconic pear and baby powder scent which is so comforting. I loveeee this!
