What It Is

Coil Color is an ammonia-free permanent color line made with 60% oil to preserve curl definition.

What It Does

• Made of 60% oil and infused with coconut oil to promote elasticity and preserve curl definition

 

• Ammonia-free oil-in-cream base evenly saturates curls for a uniform color result even when straightened

 

• Specially blended dyes helps provide visible reflect on dark bases

What Else You Need to Know

• No harsh odor 

 

• 16 curated shades for visible reflect, even on dark bases 

 

• Pair with Matrix’s Coil Color Developer 

Mixing:

 

• Wear suitable disposable gloves. Mix 1:1 ratio (1.5oz of Coil Color shade with 1.5 oz of Coil Color Oil-Cream Developer).

 

• Use exclusively with the recommended oxidants 20V (6%) and 30V (9%).

 

• Use only the proportions indicated.

 

Application and Timing 

 

• Wear suitable disposable gloves. Process at room temperature for 35 minutes.

 

• Do not use with metal tools (clips combs…).

 

• Rinse hair well after processing time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Another color line discontinued? Started using this after Color Insider which was discontinued, which I loved! The smell is almost chemical, not a pleasant smell but not overly strong. It seemed hit or miss with the gray coverage but didn't stain my skin or make me itch. For those who didn't realize, you NEED to use the developer because that is what has the oil and makes the consistency normal not runny. Also the So-Cult permanent and demi scrapped! Now it seems here we go again?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not one head turned out as I expected. I been using matrix for 18 years. I love it. This is first time I do not like a color line. It’s runny like water. Is not true to color. Is nothing like other matrix color lines. I’ve tried it in several types curls with no luck.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No smell! My clients love that it had no smell and very few of them feel itchy. The bad thing is the levels are off. If you want a 5N use a 4N-always go down a level from your target level.
