I love that it stays creamy and easy to work with, and it doesn’t dry out too quickly while processing. The oil-powered formula definitely seems to help keep the hair feeling softer compared to other lighteners I’ve used. Overall, it’s been very reliable for consistent lift and beautiful blondes. Definitely one I’ll keep reaching for!

Well suprise to me, I really LIKE this!!! I called up one of my highlight clients that I knew was ready for her touch up. She’s a blonder the better gal, of course she is a natural level 5. Our session moved along well timing wise and her hair felt great after. I was impressed!! And she was in love with her highlights

After hearing all the reviews on social media and in person reviews about it, I decided to try it out and I can’t get over the results and how soft/non damaging it leaves the hair! Definitely would recommend to get to a level 9 with minimal to no damage and how it leaves the hair soft while keeping the integrity in tact.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clean Lift and Incredible Consistency I recently tested the Matrix BlondeMax 9+ Lightener with the 20 Vol Oil-Powered Developer, and I’m thoroughly impressed. The first thing I noticed was the "no swelling" claim—it’s accurate. The creamy consistency stayed exactly where I placed it, which is vital for precise foil work and balayage. The lift was exceptionally clean. I was able to achieve a bright, even blonde without the warmth usually left behind by high-lift powders. Despite the speed and power of the 9+ lift, the hair felt remarkably conditioned afterward, likely thanks to the oil-powered formula in both the powder and the developer. If you’re looking for a high-speed lightener that doesn't compromise the integrity of the hair, this is a fantastic addition to the backbar.
