What It Is

Blond Studio 8 is a professional powder lightener designed for accelerated lightening and precise application. 

What It Does

• Lightens hair up to 8 levels. 

• Suitable for both on-scalp and off-scalp lightening techniques. 

What Else You Need to Know

• Use with any of the MAJIREL developers – Majicrème 20-volume, 30-volume, or 40-volume. 

Developer Choice:

• Use 20-, 30-, or 40-volume Majicrème Developer

Mixing ratio:

• 1:1 to 1:3 depending on desired consistency.

Development time:

• Maximum of 50 minutes

Technique tips:

• BALAYAGE: Hand paint with Multi-Techniques Powder using a brush and planchette. For the final 10 minutes of processing time, you may place under heat.

• FOILING: Do not put foil highlights under heat.

• HIGHLIGHTING: Use Sweet Meches or Cellophane to provide an even more define highlight.

• GLOBAL ON-SCALP: Divide the hair into thin sections. Apply Multi-Techniques evenly.

• After processing is complete, shampoo with L’Oréal Professionnel LUO Post Color Shampoo.

I used with 30 volume and I'd say it had to go an extra 10 min compared to other brands with 20 vol but the tone is worth it. Doesn't pull as warm, maybe because the lightener is blue so it more than likely helps tone out any warmth while lifting. Have only used in foils not during any balayage services.

It mixes blue also so you need to take that into account when you check foils. The color will look more cool toned. Still it does the job well. I will for sure be using this for my blonde clients.

The consistency is great and can easily be manipulated. The fact that I can use multiple techniques with this lightener is fantastic! The creamy texture is great for free balayage free hand techniques.
