Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not really an oil So I had hopes that this metal detox oil would be an oil that would make the hair feel slippery and smooth while having the metal detox but it does not feel like a normal hair oil would feel . It absorbs way too quickly and when you try and brush your hair the hair doesn't go through the brush smoothly . It's a very weird feeling . Also even trying to blow dry your hair with this in your hair it does not have a slippery feeling when brushing through as drying .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible shine without weighing hair down. Thanks to L'Oréal for the free Metal Detox Oil they sent me to review. I followed the directions by warming the oil in my palm before applying to the hair from mid-lengths to ends. I used 1 pump on towel dried hair for heat protection and proceeded to blow dry the hair. After the hair was dry I added a little more to the ends to help with frizz and shine. I love the scent it's not overpowering. The oil immediately absorbed into the hair without weighing it down. It was shinier and more reflective with a lot less frizz. When lighting hair you need all the protection you can get to stop hair breakage & this is one more I'm adding to my arsenal.

It seems like it made the hair shiny and smoother. It also smells good to me which is important for a lot of clients ! . I look forward to using this product more often !

The softness it leaves while still holding a style is amazing, using it with the entire Metal Detox system leaves my blondes so bright and vibrant yet my clients who haven't used the Metal Detox system still benefit from it. I have used it on my clients who are harder to comb out and it combs out easier. Even though it's an "oil" it isn't heavy and I have even snapped my fingers after using it and the oil doesn't make my fingers slippery which is nice so my brushes and tools don't slip out of my hands.

I notice that my grey was brighter with out use purple shampoo , it actually worked better than that. I liked the way it made my natural coily hair feel after using.

The amount of buildup we have in the hair from minerals and products containing chemicals that create a flat, low shine, lifeless hair. This gives the cuticle a fighting chance! A must have in your arsenal.

I recently went blonder with my hair and it helped control the frizz and craziness I get from blow drying. I usually have to straighten or curl my hair after I blow dry to tame it down more. Which I did. My hair looked wonderful!! My ends are still a bit dry but that is a given with just high lighting it.

Is it supposed to neutralize minerals after washing? Is it supposed to provide a barrier on the hair? It's surprisingly light weight for how thick it looks in the bottle, and it hasn't weighed my hair down.
