What It Is

• The Metal Detox Smoothing Cream is for professional and at-home use. The smoothing cream is a leave-in cream that hydrates and protects against frizz, UV, heat, and metals. It also prevents breakage and color shift. ​ ​

What It Does

Thank you L’Oréal Professionnel for giving me the Metal Detox High Protection Cream to try out in exchange for my thoughts on this product. I have an array of clientele, from thin to thick hair, from blonding clients to natural colors to just natural hair! I have been using the Protection Cream with them all to see how it would work. First of all, my thinner haired friends does not get weighed down, way win on that! I was a bit nervous of it weighing the hair down too much. Everyone’s hair feels so good after adding this to my line up. That’s the first thing everyone compliments on when we finish. The smell reminds me of a clean professional product. I don’t feel like it’s overpowering by no means. I love that the heat protection is built in, so we are covered for any heat finish we would like to do! I will definitely be adding this to my product tool kit!

Everything effects her hair , and for years I have tried every product on the market for her problem and nothing as really seemed to help till now. At last I have found something that works on her hair, L'Oréal Professional Metal Detox smoothing cream. It is fantastic! It does the job without weighing it down. Despite her hair having had this problem, she has oily roots, so any oils, or serum have just added to that problem but there was still frizz. Applied to damp hair, dried naturally, and then the usual hair straighteners when dry.Still smooth and frizz free 3-4 days later, when she washes again. Thank you for sending this to me to try!! She has now purchased her own!!

The only issue I have is that it seems to take a lot of product to really see or feel a difference. This can be great for fine hair as it doesn’t weigh the hair down, make it greasy or even feel like anything is in the hair, but at the same time it’s almost too weightless. I have to use so much to get smoothness from it. I use it when blowdrying. I’m not sure about the detox aspect of the product. Perhaps it needs to be used repeatedly to see or understand that property.

Better than some products but pretty comparable to others. I would definitely get it again though, as it's got a decent price point and the smell is a seller!

I have bright white highlights and this keeps my hair SO soft and smooth throughout the day, and works great as a curl cream, too! Having used several of the Loreal professional lines that I loved, this product was disappointing. No noticeable difference after using this leave-in and styling as usual. Unfortunately, it caused my scalp to itch with some redness. I did use this product a few times just to ensure the irritation was caused by this product. I do have sensitive skin so I would not recommend to anyone with sensitive skin to use this.

I have a handful of clients with fine hair who live in an area with well water. I’m glad to have a product to offer them that doesn’t weigh their hair down but helps to hydrate and smooth frizz. Just remember a little goes a long way!

I like how it works but I end up washing my hands immediately, to get the smell off. The product leaves my hair feeling really nice, even after just air drying. overall this could be a favorite for many, I will still probably use from time to time, but it's not my favorite.

I have to say that after a month I do notice that my hair is not so weighed down. I think the scent is nice, but a little strong at first. I like that it did not weigh my fine hair down although if I used too much it did seem to.

It does not weigh my hair down at all and leaves it feel very soft. The texture is similar to a light lotion and it has a pump top that dispenses the perfect starting amount. The scent is more of a perfume-like scent and the product distributes easily through the hair.

I used one and a half pumps of this on my shoulder length hair and I did not notice an oily residue or that it weighed my hair down. Overall, it’s a nice product that offers smoothing benefits and I love that it has a heat protectant in it as well. This product was received free of charge in exchange for my honest review/opinion.
