I have pretty straight hair naturally, but when I use this on myself it makes my hair stick straight and so soft...when I use it on my clients they are always amazed by how straight their hair is. I am not sure if it claims one pass straightening but depending on the hair texture it does take two or three slow steady passes to achieve perfect results. It heats up SO fast, within a few seconds and has a pleasant little noise it makes when you turn it on and when its heated up fully. I love this flat iron, and if it was not so pricey I would buy a second one to use at home. It also feels very sturdy and solidly built...and I have had it for about a year now and it has worked perfectly without any issues so far. If you are looking for a top-quality flat iron you should consider this one.
