Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the hype..to me I know it has a lot of negative thoughts, but so far I love this dryer. I did 3 full blow dries in 1 day at full speed/heat and it did not shut off on me. Everyone has different situations. I am not strictly a blowout bar, I work in a full service salon. It feels lighter and dries even faster then the commercial one which I did use in salon a lot until now. (I have owned that one for 6 years and it hasn't died)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 3 overheated I got the Dyson Pro when it first came out. The pros are- quiet, lightweight, efficient & love the magnetic attachments. The CON & it’s a big one- is the filter. Because the Dyson has a computerized motor, the holes on the filter are very tiny to keep dust out. Unfortunately everything that flies around in the salon ( hair, powder, spray, keratin) quickly builds up & causes overheating. The tried to rectify by making the filter removable & making a special brush to clean but unless you do it after every client, good luck. Dyson replaced 3 dryers for me but on the last one they refused to honor the full warranty. You will not find this info online but ask other hairdressers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t do it This is the worst purchase I’ve ever made. The blow dryer is light, but the chord is HEAVY. The blow dryer claims to dry hair fast, but guess what?? When you use the high setting, it overheats and shuts off. Yes, I change my filter DAILY. Such a piece of junk.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing durability for the price I purchased this hairdryer 2 years ago, the reviews weren't too good but I gave it a shot, they were not wrong, unfortunately, it stopped working just shy of the one year mark, i called dysson they sent a new one that died as well a year later, i did call back and they said there was nothing else they can do about it because warranty is only cover for 2 years. For the amount i spent, I expected much better quality and longevity. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from dyson products last I have owned just about all of the Dyson products and love them all! My hair dryer gave out after 6 years of continuous daily use. I will be a Dyson consumer for life. Now to make the decision of what new dryer to purchase… tough choice, the “r” is intriguing however I wish it came in a neutral colorway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1000% difference vs. consumer version I have been hesitant to purchase the Dyson dryer for years. As I was really disappointed in the consumer version in 2016. The pro version is amazing. I have been loyal to Parlux dryers for 20 years and this Dyson pro with the flyaway attachment is a game changer I wanted to purchase the new r dryer bust didn’t care for the color. Lol.

I believe for how expensive the dryer it is, that their warranty should be more accessible. I even purchased a 4 year protection plan when they offered it a few years back and the representative tried to tell me it didn’t exist and that the company didn’t have that. Thank god I had proof that I purchased it directly through their website. I would invest in a company that cares more about their customer satisfaction.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hair dryer This is my first Dyson hair dryer I have been for a long time to buy and Dyson made my heart broken because I need to return to Salon centric it because the blow dry makes a bad weird noise when I blow dry for my clients and everyone look at me and the reason why I sent them back and I still waiting for email that make sure they get my package haven’t here anything yet And I would love to order a new one

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great innovation’ I’ve had one for about 6 months and it works great! It’s light and very efficient. The magnetic attachments are wonderful, customer service from Dyson is fantastic. They get new ones to you under warranty in less than a week. They pay postage both ways. It’s worth every penny and the time it saves me pays for itself . I plan on getting the new pipe one when I need to replace it. My warranty expires in 1.5 years…

I’m giving it 2 stars because it’s great when it works which is a small percentage of the time. Plenty of better dryers out there at a fraction of the cost.
