Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not at all the same! I’ve been using Brazilian Blowout since it was first on the market years and years ago, and I’ve tried every product they’ve ever made. As much as I loved not having the fumes as the original BB formula, this product does not deliver the same results and takes twice as long. I studied the instructions and the videos for this new formula, so I know that I know, that I did it correctly! I have had to re-do every single one with the original formula for free! Talk about a hit on the pocketbook… I’m crying! (Attached pics show a clients hairline before and after the new BB Free service. She still struggled with her hairline, so I had to re-do the blowout with the original formula. I don’t have a picture but she says there are no issues now.)

On top of that Brazilian always offers free education. You’re gonna wanna get certified for this new system because it is not your typical smoothing system. It’s a game changer for sure and you wanna have this in your salon

This new formaldehyde free formula does not release any fumes like original formula which is great but also doesn’t provide results. This service also takes 2-3 times the amount of time as the original formula making the service not worth your time to preform. After I bought my kit I read a bunch of negative reviews on this, and so I was worried about doing this for my client, but my client had requested this treatment in place of the original treatment for health reasons. I figured these reviews from fellow stylists and clients were unsuccessful in providing a favorable outcome because the stylists failed to take the time, precision and care needed for this new formula, so I gave it a chance, making sure to reread included instruction booklet at every step of the way, and taking extra time and care throughout the process, i made sure I was precise and meticulous as to not take any missteps along the way, and ensured I fallowed instructions exactly. I made sure to use the gentle formula since she has blonde highlights and I made sure to perform the max amount of required steps to yield the max amount of curl reduction as requested by client. Well the result was a ton of tedious steps and 8 hours later my client was finished. Initially I didn’t notice any issues except for the ineffective time investment for both myself and client. Then a couple weeks later I get a text from my loyal Brazilian blowout client of 5 years that she doesn’t want to do this new formula again as it didn’t provide any results that we have come to know and love from this brand. She has said that her blonde is breaking off all over(which is not something she usually experiences with the original formula) and she still has frizz and curl, and that it was ineffective for her. I reached out to the brand to see if they would offer a refund, or an exchange of a credit of some form but Brazilian blowout does not stand behind their formulations so they only offered me technical support. What a joke, don’t light your money on fire like me and take it from someone else. All my products are going in the trash as I do not wish to provide services that don’t provide any outcomes and take an entire workday to do one client. Also I do not wish to loose valuable loyal clients because a reputable company provides unreliable formulas and tells stylists that they work.
