What It Is

A lightweight, leave-in serum that rebalances an oily scalp.

What It Does

Absorbs and reduces excess oil, preventing sebum from traveling down the hair strand with continued use.

• After washing, separate towel-dried hair to expose scalp.

• Apply a drop every inch onto the scalp and then massage into the skin for 1 minute.

• Dry hair and scalp as usual. In case of contact with eyes, rinse them immediately.

I applied it right out of the shower after using the preshampoo, shampoo and conditioner and styled as usual. I felt like my scalp felt refreshed, I use a lot of dry shampoo and get an itchy scalp so this has definitely helps with that issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! So the overall line is really nice. I have an oily and sensitive scalp. My hair feels lighter and less oily after just a couple washes. I tried it because I've used Biolage before and know it would be less likely to irritate my scalp. It helped with both my issues. Within a few washes my scalp was less oily and it didn't bother my sensitivities. It's difficult to find a product that will do both. I would consider buying this product and would recommend it to offers with similar hair/scalp combinations.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Residue Used this last night on my 7 day super greasy hair, it definitely absorbed some oil & calmed the itching & irritation I had going on. Today was wash day, I applied the product on freshly washed hair to my scalp & blowdried focusing on my scalp first then mids to ends. It has left a definite almost sticky/gritty residue at my roots, which I hate & is ultimately why I typically do not use dry shampoo (except Verbs, which does not leave this feeling!). I’m going to continue to use it, even if as a pre-wash the night before wash day to help balance out my scalp, and try a few different methods post wash to see if I can mitigate the residual feel.

Im able to go a bit longer than normal between washes because the serum helps absorb oil, using the same ingredients as the shampoo and conditioner it leaves a refresh feeling to the scalp while keeping it moisturized. This serum is also light weight!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Scalp Sync Oil Balncing Serum After following all 3 steps I separated my towel dried hair and applied a drop for every inch on my scalp. Blow dried my hair as usual. Now because my hair gets oily by the end of the day especially if I wash it early in the morning I use a couple drops of this serum again later on but I just concentrate on the top of my head to absorb any excess oils. For me it's good and I would recommend it for people who have an oily scalp especially by the end of the night. I'm not washing my hair as often and I am giving my hair and scalp a rest from shampooing daily. I've been using this instead to go a day without washing it and it works.

I really wanted to love it but I feel like there's better scalp systems that clarify and balance better. Overall it was the feeling left in my hair and how much I felt like my hair was weighed down that was the con for me. But someone who has very oily hair maybe they would be better suited.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Total game changer I have fine, oily hair that I absolutely have to wash everyday, or at least douse in dry shampoo on the second day. Ever since using this system, who is dry shampoo, we don't know her. This oil balancing serum is the closer of the system and she's fantastic. I was apprehensive about putting oil on my scalp after washing but after I finished blow drying, let me tell you, all apprehensiveness melted away immediately. My hair was so bouncy and felt so fresh, it looked like I'd just come from the salon. Not one trace of oily hair, just fabulousness. It also gives that classic Biolage smell that we all know and love and really reduces oil on my scalp so I truly can go longer between washes. It was very easy to apply and one dropper full is the perfect amount for my whole scalp. I'll definitely be putting this into my weekly routine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wouldn't buy this again I can't say if it has helped with my scalp being oily, I've only used it a couple times over the last 3 weeks, but the instructions have you put quite a bit on your scalp each application and I feel it on my hair once I dry it which I don't really like. I wouldn't buy this product again, but I do like the rest of the line.
