Rated 1 out of 5 by krys from do not buy! warranty scam! I bought this dryer and used it for about 6 months before it started blowing out cold air. I didn’t drop it or misuse the dryer at all and was in good condition. The filters of this self cleaning proclaimed product is a joke and then when you open it to actually clean it… it’s hard to get in between the build. The warranty center said it was “invalid” due to improper cleaning filter? Seriously? Also, they wouldn’t return it either to me… I’ve returned my 10x with longer use and wear and tear and they replaced it no problem? Total waste of money and what a scam on the warranty

I was very impressed with the 10 year warranty and how light/sleek it was. Since I've heard so much about the Dyson only having a 2 year warranty and dying right after that 2 year mark I figured I would give this one a try since it's a 10 year warranty. I absolutely love it! It's very lightweight. It's quiet and gets very hot, but you can control the temperature and it has a cool shot button. I love that it has a way to lock in your heat and blowing settings so that you don't accidentally change it while you're using it. It has definitely cut my blowdry time in half, if not more. It's great to not have to stop every time my client or I want to talk, now we just have to speak up a bit instead of screaming or stopping. I went from a handleless blow-dryer so I was definitely worried about the weight as well as how hot the barrel would get it I wanted to hold it there. I was very pleased with how light and balanced it was if you held it by the handle and that the barrel was cool if you held it there instead of the handle. All of my clients love it and are super impressed by not only it's quietness, but by its sleek design, light weight body, speed of blowdry, and setting options. The only thing that I wish was different was the price. Although I understand the pricing and feel it is somewhat fair, my clients who want one for themselves always change their minds when I tell them that it was around $350...

When I switched to this blow dryer I was around 15-20 minutes late for every client because it just took longer to get a smooth dry end co pared to what I was used too! I’m 50/50 with it!

It comes with a great warranty and I love this dryer! It is so lightweight, drys hair super fast and comes with an extra long cord for professional use.

I’ve followed all the rules of cleaning the filter everyday, and I’ve never dropped it. This is the 3rd bioionic hairdryer to crap out on me way before its warranty is up. I’ve also had the graphene model, and the power kept cutting on and off while in use. What gives? I love my bionic flat iron, but I’m not sure I’ll be using them for hairdryers anymore. What a waste of money

I have spoken with the company about the switches, they say keep returning it. Very inconvenient when you’re busy. So far they have either stopped turning on or stopped heating up.. this one both. I like the dryer, quiet and lightweight but I think it’s time to switch to another brand. Very disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Loft from Not Worth The Money Or brand Hype I had super high hopes for this dryer, always being a huge Bio Ionic Fan. But this dryer is the worst purchase yet. The filter cover does not detach and is not easy to clean. It has to be maintained daily so as not to blow out! It seemed to be quiet at first but after about a month no matter how much I clean it....it it so loud. My clients all complain how much it hurts their ears! Its effectiveness seems to get worse as time goes on, and I have only owned it for JUST coming on a year. Would NOT recommend and would replace again if not such a big investment in the first place. Very disappointing for Bioionic I must say. Not a fan.

They have all gone out within months of trying. The company is great about replacing and honoring the warranty…but when you have to send in every 2 months it’s not worth it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by colt1 from slow noticeable decline in function - now broken. Right away I should have returned this drier. There was a delayed start, but I excused it as part of the design. Now, only four months later, it delays to turn on. I tried the auto clean but that didn't work either. :( I didn't register the warranty so I am out of luck. I learned my lesson. Will always do warranty . I've just never needed it before. Extremely disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cathy from love!! ***Just an FYI on this dryer. It uses 16 Amps of power so if your outlet is only a 15 amp (most are) you need it plugged into a 20 Amp. Once I switched out the outlet, my first dryer I bought that I thought died started right up and even sounds better. Just wanted to share this info because it is a game changer for this blow dryer! I do feel like they should make sure you know this info before buying it.

Tried to get a replacement and contacted the company they responded once and said they would look into it and never heard back. The dryer is only quiet for one blowdry then you need to clean the filter. The filter is super sensitive to dust and requires daily cleaning.

Dryer mysteriously turns on, doesn't get as hot as my 10X, but like the design style of the SmartX. Dryer is currently at the warranty repair center, hoping it's replaced.

I have also been unsuccessful getting any warranty help. I am submitting another claim today but feel the dryer design needs work!
