Rated 2 out of 5 by from disappointed super powerful and light weight and quiet. however I have had it less than a year and it has turned on on its own and beeping but no air and as of today turns on but no air till about 10 seconds after. waiting to hear back from customer service. I have loved the brushes irons and previous dryers but disappointed in this one . I truly hope it gets fixed cause I loved this dryer for about 2 months .now I worry it won't turn on everytime now

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy this dryer! After using for 2 months the dryer started glitching and wouldn’t come on. I even tried self cleaning mode and cleaned filters with little brush. Wouldn’t recommend buying this Smart X blow dryer. I do love my Bio Ionic 10x and will purchase that one again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t buy it! I bought when it launched and loved it, three months in it broke, kept going into cleaning mode every time I turned it on. Sent it back and got a replacement and a after the replacement went into cleaning mode the first time it wouldn’t turn back on. Now to see if I can get my money back. The 10X is much better buy.

I was hesitant to get it because there aren’t a ton of reviews since it’s so new, and the reviews are very mixed. All that to say, it’s super lightweight. It drys the hair faster. It is quiet, so I can hear my clients better. I love it!

However, after only TWO months of using it- it just completely stopped blowing hot air. Waiting to hear from the company to replace it hopefully.

I called and had it exchanged for a new one, which was great until it just recently stopped getting hot. I really doesn’t even get warm really. I’ve tried everything I can to see if it was user error but not even my coworkers can get it working. I love Bio Ionic but this blowdryer just isn’t worth the hassle.

It’s just not powerful like I hoped it would be, it feels like it takes a long time to dry. It is lightweight and comfortable to hold, but that’s really the only positive. I wish I had bought the 10x instead.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed I wanted this to work so badly but it just didn’t. I think this would work for fine straight hair but does not get hot enough for thick curly hair. It was not strong enough to completely smooth out the hair cuticle. After about a minute of having it on and the heat control locked - the blow dryer went cold. I don’t recommend for professional use.

I love how lightweight and fast it dries hair i suffer from back pain but this actually helps me not feel like i am holding anything and its not loud ! i wish the cord was longer and would get hotter ? but its good i will keep this until it stops working oh and if u have small hands this is for u :)

It has so many great features, one of it is the three options for hot/cold settings. Never had a problem of it shutting off. There’s a lock feature so not sure why buyers are saying that it shuts off. Can’t beat the a 10 yr warranty! A true hairdresser with all Bio Ionic tools!
