Rated 4 out of 5 by from As Advertised, quieter & faster blow dry. I bought this on sale to replace my current Babyliss dryer. It is quieter and does dry the hair faster, the attachments are also great BUT are a little difficult to remove versus other dryers I've had. I haven't been able to find a diffuser that attaches to it either. You will have to clean the back vent daily and while drying longer hair, be careful as it will suck hair into it. Over all I do like this dryer and have been happy with the purchase but I'm a little on the fence if I would purchase again, probably might. However, if this isn't in your budget, the Portifino (I think) is absolutely excellent, I've had 3 of those where after dropping, multiple times, they still worked without issue.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Died in 3 months Love this blow dryer but it died in 3 months, my coworker had gone through 3 in one year. It’s light and powerful but it seems that the motor is not of quality. ALSO the new nozzle/concentrator is terrible!!!! The notches get caught in hair sectioned up or if you blow dry with no clips and hold the hair in the hand that your dryer is in good luck it catches the wet hair and you have to constantly stop and resection

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very quick to dry the hair but horrible quality I have a had three of these blow dryers in the last five years. Initially I loved it, it is super fast and quite lightweight. However each one has stopped working and begun to send out horrible smelling plumes of smoke. The most recent dryer I purchased only lasted for 8 months. I have finally moved on and switched to another brand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Blowdryer great, customer service poor I do love this blowdryer( 3rd one) buuuuuut I am extremely disappointed in the customer service. Purchase of this blow dryer came with a free gift of a babyliss flat iron. I recieved the flat iron. 4 days later I contacted customer service to check shipping on blowdryer and rep said they don't have the blow dryer in stock so they will only be charging me the flat iron. I DIDNT WANT THE FLAT IRON, I WANTED THE BLOW DRYER. I was not notified at any point that my blow dryer wasn't even available anymore. I gave the flat iron away as a gift because I have 2 already. Salon centric won't refund me the flat iron unless I send it back.... I did learn a lesson but I do feel it was on their poor communication. Won't be buying from them if I don't have to anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The fastest and lightest. I love this blowdryer. It is so light and makes blowdrying so much faster and easier. I even bought one for home and they have lasted for years. I had to replace the one at work, but it lasted 4 years. I have never had another that lasted that long. I think it is very quiet too.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from THIS DRYER IS A DANGEROUS FIRE HAZARD I first bought this dryer about 6 months ago. I loved it because it was lightweight and powerful and very easy to clean.. About five weeks later, I'm just starting a haircut and we smell something burning. The dryer had not been used for approximately 45 minutes. It was NOT in use. Smoke is coming out of my cabinet. The dryer is hot, smoking from both ends and glowing red inside. The dryer was NOT in use. It was only plugged in. I return it to the store and they replace it with the same model. From that point on, I always unplugged the dryer when leaving for the day. Yesterday (Sunday Oct 29, 2023), I go in, set up for my day which includes plugging in the dryer. I did not turn it on. I do a color and now cutting my client and we start smelling something burning. Again, the dryer is hot, smoking from both ends and glowing red inside. It was NOT in use. It had not been used at all that morning. It was simply plugged in. I've been in the business since 1976 and have never seen this before. I've had dryers pop when turned on, probably due to age. This was simply plugged in, not in use. The store can't replace it because of the time element. What if this happened while I was using it and set my clients hair on fire? Now, I'm told it's an issue with the manufacturer. SalonCentric is selling this item and there are other reviews on the page basically saying the same thing. SalonCentric has been made aware of the problem.I suggest you contact BaByLiss and deal with this issue.

I clean my dryer weekly, and two have smoked out of the back, and the third actually blew out sparks!! I will say when it does work, it's powerful and super light- but an absolute safety risk.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Blow Dryer, Terrible Concentrator I really like this blow dryer, I ordered a new one a few weeks ago. The new design of the concentrator has ridges on the sides which makes the hair get stuck in them. It increases the blowout time because I have to grab the section multiple times. Make the old smooth nozzles available again.

The problem is hair gets stuck in the back of the dryer very easily and causes the dryer to stop working and burn out. This happens about once a month and I clean the back of the dryer out every 3 or 4 work days, which is more than any dryer I have ever owned.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Helps me whip blowdries out like nothing else I started in my salon as an assistant and am now a stylist, this blowdryer helps me whip out blowdries out like no other that I've tried so far. When I was first looking for a blowdryer I was looking for one that was quiet, had a long cord, and had ion diffusion+ fast. My pervious blowdryer, the Hot Tools Tourmaline Tools 2400 Dryer (which is very deserving of its almost 2 star), was the complete opposite of this; loud, slow, and had a short cord. Noise level- Now this is no Dyson, which is one of the quietest blowdryers I've ever heard, but it's enough to where you can still have a conversation or teach while doing the blowdry. Speed- Man is this thing fast! They were not kidding when they said there was a Farrari engine in this. Now because of this you do have to be conscious of keeping it continually moving and the direction you hold it in relation to the hair. When power drying you can't just mover this dryer around willy nilly, or else you'll have a frizzy mess or toasty scalp. The best way I've found is to pick up the roots with your free and, get those 100% dry while lightly moving the dryer back and forth, then direct the concentrator down the hair strand as to not disturb the cuticle. Why this isn't 5 stars- IT DOESN'T COME WITH A DIFFUSER. And wow does this frustrate me. Due to the shape of the dryer a universal diffuser slips right off, and since this is their Italian line of blowdryers you have to buy a specific attachment- which would be fine BUT salon centric doesn't carry it for whatever reason! To get the diffuser you have to go to the Babyliss website.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Leaves hair frizzy I have this dryer and I used it for two years in the salon. I have since retired it as I purchased a Dyson. That’s when I noticed how much this dryer leaves the hair frizzy. It is very hard and fast. Blows a lot of air. I have fine hair with a little bit of wave, and when I took this blow dryer home and used it on myself, I put it away and went back to a cheap Ionic then purchased another Dyson later on for myself. If you want some thing to blow dry quickly, but have to use creams and iron to smooth your hair, go for it if you’re just worried about speed. I have had no problems with it working otherwise.
