Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really surprised me, great product The thing with high hold/high shine hair gels is they very quickly turn hair into greasy looking helmets. This product found a REALLY good balance. The label accurately states "high control" because it isn't the "strongest hold" that I've used, but it has great balance between holding everything in place and not looking like I have plastic hair. The shine is a perfect balance too between "I've been swimming with perfect hair" and a completely natural look. It's shine without being gross. Been using it for a few weeks now and I really like it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great hold, some stickiness I have straight hair so using gel especially when it is windy is important. The gel definitely gets my hair to stay in place well. Downside is the slight residue you have in your hair. It does remove easily during a shower!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Gel! I tried this product through BzzAgent. I have been using her for over 30 years. I was hesitant to try a different brand but am glad I tried Redken Brews. When you open the tube the gel has a very clean scent. It smells really good. The gel was not too thick and not too watery. The substance was perfect for someone like me who is fine hair. I was able to shape my hair perfectly with this gel. After the gel dried, there was no flaming out of my hair. I would definitely buy this gel!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great shine! I have tried many gels and it's always hard to find one I love! This one has great shine, but that shine definitely pulls away from the hold factor. It seemed more like a medium hold gel, I had to hit it with a few shots of hairspray after it had dried, which too longer than my normal gel. I would definitely recommend this to someone who prefers a high shine, with a medium hold.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect gel!! SalonCentric Redken Brews Extreme Hair Gel for Men is actually pretty amazing. I used it for the first time, not sure if it was going to be able to give an all-day hold but I was pleasantly surprised! I applied it to my towel-dried hair, on my ends & midlength of my hair, scrunching it up towards my scalp while blow drying. And what I ended up with was perfectly styled hair that had no wet or crunchy look that sometimes happens with gels. My curls were bouncy, lightweight, & frizz free, ALL day & night! It didn't make my hair feel weighed down, stiff or make my curls appear flat. I was able to rock a good hair day and this product stood up to my unmanageable thick curly hair!! This gel will be a staple in my hair care routine for a long time to come!

This product makes my hair crunchy and when applying it it feels like glue rather the gel. It smells great. If you have a hair style that needs that kind of hold it would work great.

Not a cement fix-hair does move a little after a few hours, less strong than gorilla brand but this was a lot better in the feel and flakiness. A bit more $$ but worth it if you are in a bussiness look

As an avid hair gel user with a full body of straight to wavy hair, I always need a maximum hold for my active on the go city lifestyle. The Redken Brews Extreme Hair Gel, has a pretty decent hold and kept my hair standing tall and in place throughout the day, however i had to apply a large amount in order to fulfill that outcome and would prefer a larger bottle size. Nevertheless, The light fragrance smelled nice and I would definitely recommend to a friend.
