What It Is

Kenra Color® from Kenra Professional offers high quality, high performance haircolor that is straightforward, easy-to-use and provides consistent, reliable results.

What It Does

• Up to 7 levels of lift in a single application

• Creamy mixture that retains moisture and is drip-free

• Versatility for all creative coloring techniques

• Leaves hair with radiant shine

• Dust-free

• In a non-metallic bowl, mix Kenra Color Permanent Lightener Powder and Kenra Color Permanent Coloring Crème Developer (10V-30V for application off scalp and 10V-20V for application on scalp).

• Using a brush, mix in a ration of 1:1 up to 1:3 for desired consistency. For gentle lightening, choose a lower strength of developer- the lower its strength, the gentler the process.

• Apply on dry hair that has not been shampooed. Check the results regularly and do not exceed 50 minutes. Do not use heat.

• After reaching desired result, rinse well shampoo thoroughly and condition. An appropriate Kenra shampoo and conditioner are recommended.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Clean lift, nice consistency It took me a few tries before realizing my go-to mixing ratio for highlights is 1:2, but after getting that nailed down the consistency is always great! This lightenener gives a pretty clean lift and seems to give a slightly less raw result than other lighteners I have used in the past. It also seems to work pretty quickly which is a plus!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Kenra Lightener I am on my second tub of this lightener, so I feel I can give an honest review! I have used different lighteners in the past, and I appreciate how Kenra's actually has a pleasant scent! I do find warmth is controlled. However, I mix this lightener to a smooth consistency and about five minutes into applying it I find myself back over at the color bar adding in more developer. This guy likes to dry out! I tend to mix with 30vol, and this lightener takes its sweet old time lifting! Kenra is a gentler color brand, so I can understand the slower lifting process--but it can come to a disadvantage if there's a time crunch!
