Application: Clean dry or damp hair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased I recently had the opportunity to try out Matrix Tonal Control 9V Iced Out & 7NA Neutral + Chill as well as Matrix Cream Developer 10 Volume. I was very impressed with both products! Matrix Tonal Control 9V Iced Out & 7NA Neutral + Chill was a great product for toning my hair. I usually have a lot of trouble with finding the right toner for my hair, but this product worked wonders! It left my hair looking even and natural, with a beautiful silvery blonde tone that I absolutely love. I'm very impressed with the overall quality of this product and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to achieve a beautiful, natural tone. Matrix Cream Developer 10 Volume was also great for my hair. It provided a subtle lift without causing any damage. I was also very pleased with the consistency of the product - it was thick and creamy, and applied very easily. The results were great, and my hair felt soft and healthy after using it. Overall, I'm very pleased with both the Matrix Tonal Control 9V Iced Out & 7NA Neutral + Chill and Matrix Cream Developer 10 Volume. Both of these products are high-quality and provide excellent results. I highly recommend them

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mediocre toneing I wanted to love both Matrix Tonal Control 9V Iced Out and Tonal Control 7NA Neutral + Chill. I was excited thinking this could be the next best thing compared to a competitors gel toners. Unfortunately for me, the tone just isn't there. The sheer coverage left me wanting more. I liked the true to tone oxidation and the gel consistency, but I think for now I will stick with my standard toners. I wish I had gotten truer coverage instead of such a sheer muti demintional coverage so I could rate how long lasting this product was.

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I still love "toners" to just get rid of tone i.e. Brass/Orange/yellow. Aside from that I am in love

It definitely spreads more easily bc it is less thick but still not liquid-y like other brands. I do feel like you can use less liquid product to cover more hair than a cream product BUT I do feel like matrix cream toners cover better than liquid toners. I choose which product based on each situation. I do prefer this new oil based product over the cream. I used the 9v on myself and it was okay but I have terrible well water and should have done a treatment first. Today I used the 7 NA on a client I had previously used liquid toner on and the color came out beautiful. She lifted only slightly warm but the toner didn't make her muddy or too cool.

Its cool that you can watch them process by eye and know when you shampoo that's the color its going to end up and not get any lighter or darker. Made the hair feel good too, just wish there were more regular toning shades like NA and V.
