Rated 3 out of 5 by from I would use it if it didn't smell so terrible I have used this product a few times here and there, but not beyond that b/c of the terrible smell. So, I thought I'd give it a real chance and try to ignore the smell, maybe it's just me-right?! Clients have liked it and not complained about the smell at all. It gives amazing shine, some control & great texture. I love using it instead of a sticky paste. I loved using it on my boys hair (2 yrs & 5 yrs), but they hated it! They coughed and gagged every time and said I was spraying it in their mouth. I think that the sprayer could be adjusted so it doesn't release so much product at a time. I feel like I have to spray it a lot for the desired effect, but then there's a huge cloud of nastyness after- which does get in your mouth. Totally gross. So, my ultimate review is that the product itself works nicely, but the smell is horrendous and could probably use a different type of spraying mechanism.

Love how light weight the product is. Clients also loved the smell as well. Definitely a must have for everyday use from fly aways, textured, or just a simple wave look.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works fine, smells terrible :( I have a short textured bob and I love love love texture. I was pumped when I had the chance to review a spray-in texture product! When I tried it, i was immediately disappointed to the point that I'm afraid to use it again. The smell was overwhelming and left me with a headache after using. The actual purpose of the product was to create texture, which it helped separate my layers.

It separates the hair and gives it a healthy look without feeling greasy. The volume when used from underneath the hair is amazing, I used it on my daughter as well and she has thick straight hair and it worked really good on her too. The smell was good, I will buy this again because it works so well.

It adds gorgeous volume and texture besides the fact that it smells fabulous! I just turned another client on to Wax Blast today.. she was absolutely raving about it.. wants to order it by the case! One of my all time favorite Redken styling products!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from All day hold I used this instead of my Big Sexy backcomb that I normally use for a little volume and it actually lasted longer throughout the day so I didn't have totally flat hair when I got home at night. I also used it when I wore ponytails to work and it held most of my flyaway hair in place. The only thing I really didn't care for is the smell. It was a bit musty and it lingered in the bathroom for quite a while after spraying it.

But now that my hair is longer it is way too heavy for fine hair. It did nothing but make it sticky and weighed down. It would be great for a fun pixie cut but not for fine hair.

I was able to use this product during a wedding trial and I absolutely love how it worked to give the hair the texture I needed to make the brides hair look more effortless and romantic. It didn't leave a weird cast on the hair and the hair was still very manageable compared to other texture sprays I've used in the past.

I personally do not like cripsy hair sprays and this one is not at all! I have worked with Redken products for a very long time and this is one thing I will never get rid of! If you haven't used Redken Wax Blast you are missing out!

I used it on men and women's haircuts, finished styles and updos. Great definition without weight. I loved the texture and definition it gave for the updos. It gave great control to my men's cuts!

I hadn't never heard of wax blast before receiving it from salon centric for review and let me tell you.... it smells AMAZING and gives good texture without making the hair tacky— which is an absolutely must for me! I hate when you can't run your fingers through hair after spraying it with something. It's comparable to my go to texturizer spray from IGK. I would definitely recommend it for finishing curls or even updos!

I like the smell although it strong and does smell like men's cologne. it's like a wax and hairspray and doesn't build up in their. I tried in my straight and curly and definitely like the pieces effect it gave when straightened. It's a winner and I'll definitely repurchase!

Pixie cuts that spike or short bobs with beach waves what need piecey texture come alive with the wax blast spray. I like that it is a convenient aerosol can and I don't have to get my fingers goopy in a jar.
