When I was using it on a client with relatively short hair, I noticed I was getting extreme volume. However, what I did not expect was that same result on a client with extremely dense, long hair. This product shoots out in a spray foam like way. Once on the hair, I like to comb or agitate it in to the roots by hand. Once everything is blow, dried and styled, you can't even tell this product is in the clients hair. It's not shiny, it's not greasy, it has no weight to it at all. I will definitely be keeping this product on hand for all of my client clients from here on out.

I have fine, wavy hair, that gets greasy and weighed down easily. This did not make it flat or oily, but instead pumped up the volume and helped my finished style to last longer. I would for sure recommend this to anyone who love the Victoria's Secret blowout look of the 90's (which seems to be coming back in style).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Redken Root Lifter foam boosts! If you are familiar with "vintage" Redken products, this seems to be a re-branded version of Guts! A spray foam that can be sprayed into targeted areas for maximum volume and control. The only downside is one that has always been an issue with this problem. It has a tendency to not always come out as a foam, and when the more liquidy product is what sprays out, it's more sticky and harder to work with.
