Blond Studio Clay 7 is an ammonia-free clay lightener formulated with 19% clay for easy and precise application, ideal for creating a sunkissed effect.

What It Does

The texture is incredible, glides onto the hair, doesn't have a harsh chemical smell and gives a perfect clean lift. I recommend using a spatula to fold the product rather than a whisk to mix- will provide a smoother consistency.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pleasantly surprised I hadn't used a clay base since School a I was surprised that this worked so well .. beautiful lift . Didn't dry the hair. Is a little messy as the clay dries and flakes off so be prepared for that. I enjoyed not using foils .. as with any open air app the lift is a little warm but no biggie.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Blonde Studio 7 I feel it was a pretty gentle lightener over all. Can't say it was my favorite but I definitely would try it again. I mixed mine 1:2 because it seemed thick at first. Very suitable for balayage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super gentle on scalp This is the first time I've switched my lightener in about 5 years. Once I find what I like, I stick to it. However I did notice a few awesome differences: 1. It has a really nice, soft scent 2. It was very gentle on my scalp, even using 30 vol (I normally use 20) 3. Very easy to apply. The consistency is so smooth, and easy to control. 4. Left my hair super soft. The only complaint that I have about it is that I did leave it on for the full 50 minutes, and my (natural level 7 hair) only lifted to a 9. It was definitely more golden yellow, than I normally lift to in that time. I will definitely use it again, as leaving it on another 10 minutes, for how gentle it was on my scalp, is still worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Consistency This was my first time using a clay based lightener. This lightener had a nice consistency when mixed with the developer. It wasn't too thick like I imagined it would be. On virgin lvl 4 hair she lifted to a 7/8 with an hour processing time. Overall it was a good open air painting product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm impressed! I have used many bleaches over the years and have always gone back to the same brand because It was the best. I have had a few opportunities to try this bleach and I will be continuing to use it in the future. I like that it's partially clay, so when I remove foils I don't have to worry about bleaching while other parts are still processing. The blue base helps knock out some of those brassy hues you get with fresh bleach. I will be using this product in the future and would highly recommend it!

The hair got so nice and light quickly, but felt insanely heathy!! I would recommend this lightener to anyone who wants to step up their balayage game!!

The hair felt great after I rinsed the lightner out. I was very pleased with the end result after using this Clay Lightner abd would recommend it to anyone looking for a blonder to leave the hair feeling good after being lightned.

The Lightner stays where you put it and blends nicely! I am really happy with this product and would definitely reccomend. I have used lightmasters with the freehand additive and I just love the consistency and lightening power of this product over that one. I will definitely be adding this to my arsenal!

The experience is so beautiful for both my client & me. 1st off it smells like candy, 2nd the texture when mixed is like no other! So creamy and smooth just like working with an acrylic paint+gesso mixture which for me is heaven & 3rd it did not bleed! Oh & the lift was perfectly even! Thank you so much L'Oréal for creating the perfect bleach yet again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely Clay based! This lightening powder is definitely clay based. The consistency is very thick, so using more developer really helps. I used this lightener two separate times. Once for a global bleach and tone, and another time for a balayage. This clay lightener definitely works best for balayage and freehand painting. Not so much for on scalp application (processed really slow). Overall 8/10 for me.

I love the consistency & it lifted the hair so well! It is ideal for balayage but can easily be used for highlights as well. After the lightening process the hair still felt very healthy. I will most definitely be purchasing this product & will recommend it to my co-workers!
