The shampoo foams very easily; it's better on the second shampoo. It is very light doesn't feel like it takes forever to wash it out. Great for colored hair. I do have scalp irritation sometimes so I wasn't expecting this shampoo to help in any way for that because it is not marketed for that. However, I am happy to report that this shampoo soothes my scalp while protecting my color. It also adds a beautiful shine and life! I haven't been happy with sulfate free shampoo in the past because I never felt like my hair was fully clean. This shampoo is different. It thoroughly cleans without stripping and my scalp feels great afterwards=win win!

However, Redken has found a way to have a great lather while maintaining the benefits of a sulfate free shampoo. I had used this right after a touch up to my red do, and the color has held the best yet with this shampoo. Redken Color Extend Magnetics is a keeper!
