What It Is

PRAVANA's award-winning VIVIDS impart long-lasting, rich color and brilliant shine.

What It Does

This direct-dye features Keratin Amino Acids and pure Silk Amino Acids provide strength and durable shine when applied. Use VIVIDS Clear to lighten or pastel and VIVIDS Black to darken any VIVIDS shade.

Pre-lighten hair to recommended level prior to coloring. Apply VIVIDS directly to clean, dry hair. Process for 20-30 minutes at room temperature. Shampoo lightly with VIVIDS Color Protect Shampoo. Rinse thoroughly with cool water and style as desired.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Toxic Smell As soon as I squeezed this color out of the tube, I knew it wasn’t going to be good. The smell of this is heavily scented with fragrance and it is not pleasant. It was so toxic that I literally started getting dizzy while applying it and I had to finish the color application outdoors. (I have a very well ventilated salon with many air purifiers and it was still an issue). If you are even remotely sensitive to smells do not buy this product. Use Pulp Riot.

Violet was my go to for any client wanting to try a color but didn't want to commit long term because how beautifully it fades or lightens out easily. Recently, it fades muddy green and is teal and other crazy greens when lightened. I'm hugely disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Blue is amazing, pink not so much I love pravana vivids. I've used them for a long time and never had a problem. I bought orange, blue, punk, smokey silver and emerald. All colors worked great besides the pink. I know most pinks and reds wash out over a short time, but this color was gone within 2 weeks after 3 washes. The blue is a beautiful deep blue, but beware it bleeds like crazy! However, I didnt have to do a touch up for 2 months! Sleep on a crappy pillow case and have bleach on hand for sinks.
